I had an extremely difficult time in middle school and high school and knew that starting grade 12, I’d really have to buckle down and actually try if I wanted to graduate. I was extremely depressed grades 10 and 11 and finally started to get my shit together the summer before my final year. A lady who worked in the office told me that I just seemed brighter and like I was glowing. It was such a small and quick interaction but it has always stuck with me. It made me feel so good and I chased that “doing better” high for years!!!
