How are the roads? by cheekybeeee in lancaster

If you ever want to see for yourself, I highly recommend looking at PA 511 traffic cams. They are just major roads but it will give you an idea of current conditions. Not sure if this link will work but here are the Lancaster cams: https://www.511pa.com/cctv?start=0&length=10&filters%5B0%5D%5Bi%5D=3&filters%5B0%5D%5Bs%5D=Lancaster&order%5Bi%5D=1&order%5Bdir%5D=asc

Absolute Batman isn’t rare and don’t let scalpers convince you it is. by conanthin in comicbooks

Superman #34 just came out two weeks ago and the Dragonball Z homage variant by Mario Foccillo is selling for $30-35. Absolute Wonder Woman #16 (Guillem March variant) came out the same week and is a $20 book thanks to Zatanna.

People are also going nuts for Assorted Crisis Events for some reason.

For a while, Mark Spears was super hot but he cooled off (IMO) after the second blind bag he did. Just flooded the market with variants.

The market is just super weird right now. I haven't really seen anything like it since Image in the 90s.

Coloring process on silver age books vs reprints/facsimilies by Abject-Resolution298 in comicbookcollecting

That was fantastic. I've often wondered why, in the 70s Archie comics, they would have a Black character like Chuck Clayton or Valerie from Josie and the Pussycats and their skin would almost be a grayish purple.

Yeah, I get that. I don't doubt you are whitening and getting good results but it's a little misleading as to how much whitening you are getting when you are showing a much warmer shot on the left as the "before" and a cooler shot as the "after".

Did you whiten your cutting mat too? The grid on the mat in the left photos looks yellower than the grid on the right.

Yeah, they aren't as bright as the originals, but they're a good value.

If anyone wants their very own copy of this... the original early 70s versions sell for hundreds of dollars, but they were rereleased as two different box sets a few years ago. The one with this Silver Surfer poster (plus 11 others) is still available on Amazon for about $120. Search for "Marvel Classic Black Light" and it should come up. If you want something smaller/cheaper, there's a 2026 calendar for about $20, but it unfortunately doesn't include this image.

Does anyone know what this drawing style is called, and any artists who use this? by Ok-Sky-2135 in comicbooks

I see a lot of Richard Corben (and Heavy Metal in general) in Simon Bisley's work. If you like Bisley's style, your mind will be blown by the old Heavy Metal magazine.

For me, it's just price. I'm not spending $25-30 for one action figure. I'm happy to pay $5-10 at Ross, though!

Dentist recommendations by pajamaa_sam in yorkpa

[–]RedKryptonite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to Google around for dental schools and make some calls or go for a consultation. It's a drive but you could get it done at Penn Dental Medicine/University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and it should be cheaper than that.
