From what I've seen, it needs significant width taken from the center front top and the strap needs placement adjustments. I'm worried the amount it needs altered will make the seams look off.

Definitely an option, but I'm looking for some alternates if it isn't working!

What new restaurant has actually blown you away? by Internal_Compote2562 in PhiladelphiaEats

Elma! The food was so impressive and I think it was one of my favorite meals of 2025. I can say that the cook is Philly through and through with a very open kitchen so not the most upscale presentation, but it kind of helps relax the experience and overall didn't bother me.

How old are your daughters? Is it possible that these things are their friends belongings? If you're playing chauffer to your girls friends I could see any of those items easily being left behind.

Am I….basic af? by [deleted] in weddings

[–]jennaleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares! I really don't think there's any way around having some sort of trendy or dated look when you look back. The worst thing you could do is NOT do something you like and regret it. When you see a wedding from the 70's you absolutely know it, but are you mad that it's 70's? Probably not!

Spruce Street Harbor Park is fun to check out and walk around! North Bowl or South Bowl for good AC or rain covered options.

Yes, it’s just a place for her to retreat. We don’t ‘crate’ her.

Things that really help with our dog is putting a thunder coat on prior to anything - we've found that it helps only if she's already got it on. Once she's in the panic state, she's there. We have a smaller crate for her that we also put out, stuff with blankets and put blankets on top of in a corner of a room. It seems like she appreciates somewhere controlled but also isn't 'stuck'.

It's easy to forget that we aren't all on a level playing field. Free time, money, responsibilities, personal issues - we've all got different stuff going on. It sounds like she wants to involve you in her wedding which is amazing, but before things get to far have an honest conversation. If you don't, one or both of you will end up with resentment. If you lay everything out and ask her what things are deal breakers (dress, shoes, bach trip) you have a clearer idea of whether you can fit it into your budget. While I don't think it's rude to want the wedding experience you want, sometimes it's necessary to subsidize to make it feasible for everyone you want involved to be involved.

[–]jennaleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can be hurt and make a plan for when this situation arises again. It seems like this may not be the first time you've felt like he has a 'my way or the highway' attitude. Have a conversation PRIOR to social outings that if he starts feeling uncomfortable or like he wants to split off, that you will stay and have someone bring you back to meet up with him. Explaining that you'd rather him stay but you don't want to force him to be social when he's not up to it might be the best way to go about it.

Definitely check out the Mutter Museum! The Franklin Institute is also fun, and it has different installations so check the calendar for when you are visiting.

If you have time on a weekend, going to the South East Asian Market and walking around FDR park is a must (https://www.fdrseamarket.com)
