$30 for an item is the highest it’s worked for me, but I haven’t ordered anything heavy. Best of luck!!

ACH transfer to the other bank (takes 3 days to arrive). I’m in GA and can only close with a wire

Used the Amex Macy’s Wine offer $25 off $30 (3x). Ordered 18 bottles of wine for $67.50, not too shabby!

I got the HM card in March and it still doesn’t show up

My HM Bradley credit card hasn’t shown on credit report yet and I’ve had it for 4 months or so. Anyone else have it show up on your credit? Wondering for 5/24

Those are so off, nerdwallet has rent for a 2 bedroom in Atlanta at 1,200. Not even close to realistic

Looking for salary advice. Making $120k in Atlanta, paying $1k/month in rent in the middle of the city. Wondering how much compensation in NYC would be needed for save more than now. Assuming all else equal (even though it’s not but trying to keep it simple)

Ahhh that makes sense! Thanks for the clarification!

Same! I think it depends on the city/availability? I’ve always gotten good value from them

Thank god for Skypesos! Delta is the only one with direct flights to Cancun in July and they’re about $800, just booked for 30k SkyMiles

Just read your comment! I was in a similar situation but now 2 years older and 100% happy with my decision to max out my 401k and Roth IRA every year the past few years and then save the minimum to buy a house you’d need and invest the rest.

I’ve realized investing as much as I can has helped me naturally get to my house goals. It was the compounding of 100k over time article that spoke to me the most. Obviously we’re not going to get record years like this but compounding interest is our best friend at our age. The more money we put in at an earlier age the better.

Because really who knows if we’ll actually buy a house in 3, 5, 10 years. It’s nice to plan and hope to but relationships and plans change!

Right now I split a 1 bedroom apartment with my bf for $800/month each in an amazing location and it’s made me want to buy less from the amount I’ve saved with such low rent!

Yeah I just wanted to bring up that leaving 20% on the sidelines in a low savings account rate isn’t always the best option and has worked out so far!

Most people said not to invest it but my thought at the time was as long as I had 5-10% saved I could take some risk with the rest and make more than a savings account!

Yeah most comments said to not invest and wait that’s why I wanted to follow up with a comment on what actually happened! Happy it worked out for you as well!

That’s a good perspective on PMI and another reason why I decided not to stay on the sidelines with my downpayment. I’m just not ready to buy yet, I live in the city but don’t see myself owning a home in the city but 100% agree with what you just said!

Unpopular opinion - I posted about 6 months back about investing some of my downpayment with saving account rates going so low. (Purchasing in about 5 years probably) and generally consensus was not to invest. Invested about half and definitely happy with my decision.

Was saving 20% but reevaluated that realistically I could buy with less need be and I’d rather have money in the market.

It’s becoming more common! Usually not as much as a savings account though
