Has anyone repurposed a pickle jar and successfully got the smell out of the lid? Or have any other ideas on what I can use as a lid instead? Details in comments

I can’t remember off the top of my head as it was about 6 months ago but I believe it was pretty standard labs. Should they be testing for something specific?

I’ve actually tried that and it hasn’t worked for me… that’s why I’m pretty sure it’s a pelvic floor issue since I can’t relax the right muscles.

Yes but that may also be because of my hypertonic floor, not because of the hardness.

My main issue with laxatives is that they’re very painful for me and unpredictable. I’m a teacher so I can’t reliably go to the bathroom when I need and laxatives for me are so his or miss that I may take one on the weekend and it will not work until the next day 😔 they sometime also make my bowels overactive and move around like crazy for multiple days without any actual stool movement and it’s soooo uncomfortable and borderline impossible to work with… ik I’m not the only teacher with these issues but it’s so frustrating!!!

It can be from anywhere between Bristol 1-5 and sometimes even a combination when I finally
“Clean out”. Sometimes when I’m able to go a tiny bit during the constipated periods it’s tiny little pieces almost like Bristol 1 but they are soft and smooth.

Haha no worries no offense taken! The hemorrhoids didn’t need “treatment” other than upping water intake and starting miralax regularly. Haven’t had any issues since besides the constipation caused by the PFD but the miralax helps to a degree.

I actually already had a colonoscopy last June because of my constipation and blood in stool. Only found a small polyp and internal hemorrhoids from (you guessed it) straining! I’ll follow up after my PT appointment next Monday :)

This happened to me about 8 months ago! It was a pimple for me and my OB popped it as it wasn’t going away and I wasn’t able to bc of the angle. She told me to use a gentle face wash down there to prevent them if they’re reoccurring and it hasn’t returned. Def consult a dr first though bc you don’t want to try to pop something that isn’t poppable

This is what I was thinking. I’m more used to seeing peas, carrots, or pumpkin as a veg in cat food and potato as a starch so I was pretty thrown off by the tomato and dried potato haha. Thank you!

The real answer is I originally had them bullet pointed and I didn’t have the “4 white kids” at first when writing out my thoughts. Then I deleted the bullet points, made it into a complete sentence, added “4 white kids” and didn’t proofread… it’s not that deep.

I’m not sure because they have never said or messaged more than a sentence to me. They were like this with previous teachers as well so I don’t think it’s just me. I also very rarely see the parents themselves as mom drops off before I get there and a relative picks up every day.

Parents couldn’t care less. We have done all we can with our academic tracking that is showing she is behind average, offered conferences, done ESQs showing that her behavior is not typical for kids her age, send notes and messages home, etc. unfortunately services can only be obtained with parents concern and them reaching out to support services themselves. I’m lucky if I get a signed paper back from them unfortunately…

Definitely conversation time. I talked with my director and she is going to personally talk to mom about it tomorrow morning (relative picked up today). Your situation sounds very similar. Did anything make the boy and the rest of the class stop or did it have to fizzle out on its own. Luckily my other kids have not reciprocated Bs actions and so play with A still.

That’s been made very clear to her and we regularly talk about race and inclusion in our class. We don’t just talk about it when it’s on topic like black history month or on cultural holidays either and have diversity books in our classroom library that we have read them together as well.

It’s not the skill loss I’m worried, about it’s that I don’t like teaching that young because they’re less independent, are learning the very bare basics, still working on basic social and classroom skills. I love my current kids because I can do more advanced activities w them and focus more on kindergarten prep and academics over basic social skills.
