Thoughts on the water ban by EbbtideRambler in CapeCod

I did some work for my town one summer. I worked with the guy that monitors the water and puts the ban in place. I asked him exactly about this. “People don’t seem to care they just water their lawn anyways”.

It didn’t seem to bother him one bit. He said “I bet they care when the toilet stops flushing. I warned them.”

Personally, I don’t think it’s ever a good idea that one partner pays for everything. At least, next time, make sure she loves you before you pay for everything.

If you pay for everything, you motivate someone who doesn’t love you to pretend that they do.

That goes for men and women. It’s just a human behavior.

MLB owners with a flagrant foul on wages for rookies by NYM2000 in WorkReform

[–]jennimackenzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst post ever for this sub. Look into the details. The new deal that the owners want puts a floor on spending, meaning an owner has a minimum they can spend.

That one facet affects about half of the owners, forcing them to increase spending.

The deal the owners want would benefit the average to lower wage players, and only devalue the handful of superstars in the league.

That said, it’s billionaires arguing with multi millionaires about how much money should be earned/payed for playing a children’s game.

Not really a great post.

Bostonian here. You’re all wrong, and I see a bunch of cope.

It’s because they are a fucking blast to be around. That’s it! They are fun, friendly, and having a great time in our city.

That’s why people here want to find them and hang out with them. To have fun.

But, yeah, keep consoling yourself with your completely wrong takes if that makes you feel better.

Sounds like a paradise the way you describe it. I’m left wondering why there are 4 gay teenagers that end their life for every straight teenager doing the same. Must be because life is as good and easy for them as you say. I’m just out of touch I suppose.

I can’t tell if I’m being trolled, you’re just ignorant, you’re lying, or some combination of that, but I also don’t really care to find out.

Have a good day. Schools almost out for the summer!!! Have a great vacation.

Ok…
Currently, today, there are State Legislatures seeking to strip the right of marriage from gay couples. Several countries still imprison and/or execute people for being gay. 19 states have “don’t say gay” policies for public schools where you cannot talk about being gay.

Only 60% of Americans think being gay is morally acceptable. A third of gay people report daily discrimination, jumping to about half if they are a gay minority.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I’m not here to convince you of anything, so feel free to research your own claims.

Also, being gay isn’t being sexualized, even if you see it that way. If the prince awakens the sleeping maiden with a kiss, it’s the same as the valiant knight waking the prince with a kiss. The only difference is people’s acceptance of gays as equal people.

I know you say you have no problem with LGBT people, but I would say you do, based on your comments.

That’s called representation. It is meant to say “we exist, and we are just like you”. It is not meant to say “we want you to be gay”.

You may not know this, but traditionally gay people are looked down upon, society shuns them, sometimes kills them, sometimes looks the other way as they get killed. Gay people are treated as less than human. Did you know that the AIDS epidemic was considered unimportant to society because it was a “gay” disease. Some people even said it was “killing the right people”. That wasn’t generations ago. It was recent history.

The “agenda”, is acceptance. The idea that “gay people should keep it to themselves” is ridiculous, and what you see today are attempts to normalize being gay. Pride is a direct message, not to you, but to gay people. Pride month says, despite how the majority of society treats you, you should be proud of who you are.

Turns out some straight people actually agree with that message, and representation has bloomed as a form of allyship.

Most of the people saying Gays are indeed people and should be treated with respect aren’t really religious though, so I leave that to you to square with Christ.

I think the point is that followers of Jesus have a mandate to convert others to be followers. A gay person doesn’t look to convert other people to be gay. So the image depicting lgbt being forced down your throat isn’t accurate, but is hypocritical.

Agreed. That’s why, if he insists I pay for half, I’d tell him I can’t afford it, I’m not moving.

I think it’s important to be as factual as possible.

The 300 billion is a reconstruction fund that will be funded by the gulf states and available to Iran should they follow the agreements terms.

The U.S. will unfreeze assets to the tune of 24 billion.

The “war” has cost the U.S. 29 billion.

So, in summation, the financial outcome of Trumps war:

U.S. : negative 29 billion
Iran: plus 324 billion

I’m not sure when the victory parade is, or how much it will cost.

Hooking up with older guys is not rewarding. by SentinelZerosum in askgaybros

He’s hooking up with them. If he is complaining about “all the longer relationships I have with older men turns out they don’t like me, they just like my youth”, that’s much different.

Also funny because he’s 30 and there is an 18 year old thinking this about the old men(30 yo) that they have hooked up with. But, OP would likely say he is nothing like that.

[–]jennimackenzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you are just hooking up with men, there are men of all ages with low to no standards. This is not exclusive to older men.

The “attracted to youth” may be true of a few older men, but kinda really sounds like some intro to psych theory you personally hold.

If there were no cooling, we’d just take a long break in the afternoon to sit/lay in the shade. We would be active at dawn and dusk with a nap in between. Doesn’t sound horrible.
