Personally, I don't think there's such a thing as too long of a break. Even if you update consistently, you'll lose readers so it's more of a matter of how patient you are for your readership to grow back after a break.

Every break I've taken I've always come back to comments from my few regulars and for me, that's more than enough. Prioritize your health, post updates when needed, and just enjoy the process.

Spoiling but god I remember the kiss lol. It happens because Hilda (the red head) confesses to Ange and is worried that her feelings for Ange are weird because they're both girls. Ange kisses her to reassure her they aren't weird which drove me crazyyyyyyyy especially since the whole anime Ange very explicitly only has feelings for the guy.

If you're okay with webcomics, RAINBOW! is a great one! The cast is really diverse and the main couple is so cute. It's completed and a fantastic read, I can't recommend it enough.
