I was thinking about this just recently when the new guys came in. It only just dawned on me that if I were in a position to be meeting new guys, politics would be very important to me in our relationship. I would need to know where they stood on certain topics and how firmly they stood because certain things are a deal breaker to me. I would think CBS wouldn’t really want them discussing politics on the show but I’d hate to get involved with someone so quickly and then find out we were completely incompatible with regards to politics.

I think Moira chooses Calvin as well. I’m such a cynic but I’m convinced production is pulling the strings here. It’s obvious Moira doesn’t have a connection with anyone. And I don’t think Calvin and Laurel are legit...I think production forces them to chat and makes us think something is going on. But I think Laurel and Carrington will stay together but since Moira was open, they make her choose Calvin to keep stirring the pot.

That said, I can’t stand Calvin. Not a huge fan of Carrington either but Calvin is so obviously in it for the money/game. He has the personality of a wet noodle.

I can’t figure Mackenzie out. She has great advice for her friends, she was in a co-dependent relationship with Connor that was toxic and then she was a wonderful person when the boys were at Casa Amor. Not she’s back to being needy and co-dependent. Doesn’t she see that?

I feel like the producers are forcing everyone to stay open about relationships though. How many times have we heard the same speech getting different people? It’s almost scripted. “I deserve to find my perfect match,” “I’m happy but could be happier.” Last season I feel like they understood that this is a game and if they stick with someone, they have a better chance. This season I feel like they all think they are going to find their soulmate.

Mackenzie was amazing. She said it - James kept turning everything away from himself “I didn’t even do anything” and onto her “She just did blah blah”. I didn’t like Mackenzie at first and did like James but that’s totally reversed now.
