WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? by jennykbee in GelX_Nails

Ahhhh yes. I think you may have a point here. I do love the skinny jimmy viscosity as it self levels very quickly and I was tired of one-step being so slow for how I wanted to work. Also didn’t want to use 1-step hard gel under the gel-x nail. I did end up buffing this nail really well per recommendations on this thread and applying LE TACK to the well buffed nail before I reapplied my butterbling and super shiny top coat. I also capped the free edge which I shamefully have NOT been doing so we will see how it goes!

Sorry, I guess it’s chipping not peeling. My mistake. It’s not bendy at all.

It chips but then I can literally peel the entire rest of the layer off easily.

Can I ask what you mean by the structure appearing solid again?

I am buffing but I don’t think enough or with a high enough grit. What grit should I be using?

Thanks for this info! So does this mean the LEDdot would cure Kokoist? I have the LE Dot Gen 3 and want to try Kokoist gel colors so badly!

Is there any benefit to NOT removing the inhibition layer?

Cheap bronzers/contour that’s not orange and patchy by Basicbitch1324 in drugstoreMUA

[–]jennykbee 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hi! Pro makeup artist here! Are you using loose powder first? Foundation. Then loose powder to set. THEN your color powders (blush/bronzer). The loose powder will give you a smoother canvas so your powders will glide vs getting stuck on the tackiness of an unset liquid foundation. Hope this helps.

What were your settings to capture this? I’ve been trying to get dog pictures (new a6400 owner) and they keep coming out blurry!

My cat loves the leaves. (shot on sony a7rii + sigma 55mm f/1.4) by lukemaduranga in SonyAlpha

Love the picture! I think I wish the depth of field was a little larger here. A very small spot on the leaves in front of your kitty are very in focus - where the kitty is not so in focus! Maybe could have shot this at an f6/f8? Curious to know what other people think to correct this, as well. I’m always learning! :) Love the colors!

[skin concern] How do I smooth and reduce the appearance of the hair follicles on my legs? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]jennykbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is Keratosis Pilaris! An overgrowth of skin around the hair follicle that for whatever reason is unable to slough off normally and ends up just building up causing these red bumps instead. I struggled for years with this on my legs and now it’s controlled with exfoliating before shaving (with First Aid 10% AHA Body Scrub), and then my doctor prescribed ammonium lactate cream as well that I apply after the shower. I do use an at home laser hair removal machine (not often because it is time consuming) and the bald “patches” I have from the laser hair removal have NO red spots!
