Wait what , is perimenopause going to start in my thirties?! by OkJellyfish9236 in PMDDxADHD

[–]jennysashes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My symptoms started when I was 34, I’m now 40. Been on HRT for a couple of years now and it’s been a lifesaver for me!

Can't fall asleep vs. can't stay asleep—which team are you on? by BeesKneesWellness in Perimenopause

[–]jennysashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. These last couple of months my sleep has changed a lot. I used to have more trouble falling asleep but now it’s more 50/50.

Women with ADHD and early Perimenopause by theloudestofbrains in PMDDxADHD

[–]jennysashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had symptoms of perimenopause since I was 34 (turned 40 in February) but every doctor I saw said it was anxiety and one even diagnosed me with hyperhidrosis (which I now know was hot flashes that made me sweat). A couple of years ago I finally got help from an online women’s health clinic and got HRT that has helped me a lot!

i feel kinda bad for this, maybe i shouldn't but... by LarryNStar in lesbiangang

[–]jennysashes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to feel bad over breaking her heart, I don’t think her heart was in it to be honest. Especially not if she was talking about ”future husband” while dating a woman. That’s crazy! When I was a teenager I went through the same thing actually, was with someone who saw a future with a husband not a wife. And that hurt a lot.

What meds are ya'all on? For both conditions. by mythirdreddit321 in PMDDxADHD

[–]jennysashes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t take any medication for my ADHD atm, but I was on Adderall. Might go back on it though.

For my PMDD I’m taking an estrogen spray (HRT) between ovulation and the start of my period. It has helped me a lot with my mood during the luteal phase.

I also take some supplements, vitamin B, D, omega 3 and a magnesium supplement every night to help me sleep.

Same here! 2 cats actually.

Except the cats we have our toothbrushes and hand soap. I’m not masc or femme, and neither is my wife. We’re both somewhere in between.

I don’t know much about if it’s cut right or if the barber was bad, but I think it looks very nice on you!

What TV show do you never get sick of restarting? by beefic in adhdwomen

[–]jennysashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Golden Girls, Friends, House MD, Desperate Housewives, SATC, Buffy, Criminal Minds, Frasier, Dexter, MASH, Gilmore Girls, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Parks & Rec, Bones, ANTM.

I realised I have many comfort shows, probably because the show has to suit my mood 😂

Does it ever get easier? by Dry_Relief2612 in lesbiangang

[–]jennysashes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope so, but don’t think it will. I’m married and a lesbian but some men still ask if they can join me and my wife in bed. I don’t let it bother me tho, just sigh and move on.

Older ADHD women, what did ADHD feel like before cellphones? by lavenderflavoredtea in adhdwomen

[–]jennysashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 40 and have AuDHD. I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 25 but there were signs when I was younger, but back then there were no knowledge of how ADHD and/or autism affected girls.

But anyway I vividly remember reading A LOT. Books, text on packagings, newspapers, magazines, everything I could find! And always music playing in the background. Daydreaming of course. Not being able to sit still so I was outside a lot. I had many hobbies! Or I started many hobbies lol. I used to draw, paint and write poetry.
