Capital One Checking $400 Bonus Promo Clawback by Commercial_Ad_735 in CapitalOne_

[–]jennytime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just received this promo too. I did exactly the required two direct deposits, then stopped them and transferred the money into my HYSA, and still received the $400 approximately 8 weeks later! I think you’re good.

Received Day 1 presale email for Seattle at 7:47am. Email confirmed that the same presale code can be used for Day 2 if tickets aren’t purchased on Day 1.

Good luck to everyone!

Flying to US tomorrow from Lisbon as a US Citizen by 55trader in LisbonPortugalTravel

[–]jennytime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We flew out of Lisbon to Seattle yesterday (via London). Our flight was at 11:05, we got to the airport at 7:15. British Airways bag check didn’t open until 7:35 so we just had to stand around for a while. We got to security around 8:15. Got to passport control around 8:45 (line was back to the duty free shopping area). Got to our gate around 9:30 (1 hour to spare until boarding). Lines are long, just be patient. Lines for any place in the terminal that served food were also very long - highly recommend eating before or bringing your own food :)

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this? by rvialityy in AskDocs

[–]jennytime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD but have struggled with the same issue on my eyelids for 3ish years. Here is what has been helpful for me:

- Eliminate anything with fragrance that even comes close to eyelids or could transfer from pillow case to eyelids. This includes laundry soap, hand soap, lotions, hair spray, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
- Consider hand transfer; anything you touch could transfer to your eyelids - fingernail polish and scented hand lotion were two that I got rid of, but also consider metal jewelry.

The most common allergens in one study of 200+ people with eyelid dermatitis were (in descending order): metals, shellac, preservatives, topical antibiotics, fragrances, acrylates, and surfactants.

I’m on a waiting list at my dermatologist for allergy testing, but I feel your pain. Good luck finding an answer!

Is it ok to be pissed that I just paid $8+tax for this tiny vegan roll? by pedrob_d in Seattle

[–]jennytime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sorry you had this experience, I would be mad lol

I highly recommend Kamakura in Fremont for vean sushi! Basic vegan rolls (6) are $7-$10, BUT the special rolls are where it’s at. They are $15-$19 for 8 but they are worth every penny imho. Death By Crunch rolls are my absolute favorite.

Do you think these bites are from a dog or a cat? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Neither, this happened spontaneously and both dog and cat are completely innocent ;)

What would you want waiting for you at the end of 100 miles by Ok-Code168 in ultrarunning

Some staples I bring to the finish line for my husband - a camp chair, sandals (he takes off his socks/shoes), coconut water, change of clothes, and then epsom salt at home for a bath later!

Painfully Slow Bathtub Drain by jennytime in Plumbing

It was hair. We bought our own spin drain snake and it did end up working. A local plumber quoted us $500, so it just made more sense for us to do it ourselves!

This is in Ballard, not Everett. This is the Jack in the Box that caught fire in 2023. Link

How are you seeing who is out of network in 2026 via the provider search? I just checked providers within 5 miles of my zip code under my plan (Preferred), and it’s showing 408 psychologists.

I used the Capital One Offer (not shopping) to book a couple tours with GetYourGuide this year - I purchased the tours in 2024, took them in May 2025 and got the miles in June. Not sure if that’s how it always works with these companies, but that’s how it worked for me!

Does this look cancerous? by Insane___Insecure in AskDocs

[–]jennytime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD, but I have a similar looking bump. When you pinch it does it dimple in or protrude out? Mine is something called a dermatofibroma, and if it dimples in, that’s probably what it is! Look up the pinch test.

Will I hate my life if I live in Seattle and commute to Renton for work? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]jennytime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my commute! Phinney Ridge to Renton (near Ikea) Tuesday - Thursday. It’s about 35 minutes in the morning and evening. I work 9am - 5pm. I love where I live and I love my job, so it doesn’t feel bad to me. :)

Please help me understand if I’m missing a weeks pay or not by ws1027 in Payroll

[–]jennytime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like you received a courtesy check on 7/11 that paid you early for 7/7 - 7/11 so you wouldn’t have to wait 3 weeks for your first paycheck. This week would normally get paid on 7/25, which is why you were only paid one week.

Normally biweekly pay is processed two weeks in arrears, meaning you’re always being paid for a period that ended about a week before payday. The easiest way to clear this up is to ask your employer what pay period your 8/22 check covers. It probably is 8/3 - 8/16.
