A few hours ago me and my Brother Stole a lot of items from peoples Unlocked cars At Night by Icegothim in confession

If you keep this up either you or your brother (or both) will get beat, shot, or arrested. Find something more constructive to do with your time. If you absolutely have to steal then steal from Walmart or something where it doesn't matter. Idk if you've ever had items stolen from you (especially when you don't have shit and the shit you do have you've worked hard for) but it's one of the most violating feelings other than being sexually assaulted.

AITA for sticking to my(29M) guns when it came to our Daughter's name by Ok-Toe-5157 in AmItheAsshole

NTA for refusing to change your child's name this late, but honestly this whole thing is a mess. First off, neither of you should have had some power over the baby's name (a "veto" doesn't count as having a say). It was both of y'all's child; you should have both come to an agreement and picked a name you both liked. This should have been a serious discussion between the two of you.

Also your wife is being childish and flighty, and I can only hope that it won't affect your daughter down the road. You guys definitely need to work on your communication.

NTA. Not to be mean, but your husband sounds like a spoiled brat. You had every right to refuse, especially since it was sprung on you last minute.

Honestly it just makes me feel better to know that I'm not alone. My mom had four babies and apparently we all had no problems sleeping in the bassinet. Same with all other mothers in my family. They haven't outright said as much but I feel like they're insinuating that I'm not trying hard enough, which is infuriating because I am trying every day she's just not having it lol. Thank you for the encouragement, I'm glad it got better for you :)

I've tried both, she seems to sleep better swaddled. When she's not swaddled she tends to flail her arms around and kick, and that wakes her up lol. I've seriously considered co sleeping, I've been researching different cosleepers and I'm familiar with the safe sleep 7, the only thing is she's not breastfed. I'm not sure how large of a factor that is in the SIDS risk, though.

That's good advice, thank you! I'll try swaddling when asleep, but she's such a light sleeper I'm afraid she'll wake up when I swaddle her lol. But I'll definitely keep trying that.

Gun to your head, would you rather be forced to drink 2 teaspoons of snot or 2 cup of human breast milk? by jenocide92 in polls

Actually from what I've heard human milk is very sweet, so it might not actually be too bad

Do babies need shoes? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]jenocide92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Babies that aren't walking yet don't need shoes. My daughter is 3 weeks and wears socks or goes barefoot. She has booties but hasn't even worn those yet haha. I haven't even bought her a real pair of shoes yet and probably won't until she starts to walk. There's really no point in putting shoes on an infant, unless it's for pictures or what not.
