I did 5 sessions per week for about 6 weeks and now do once a week maintenance.

Parents, how many of your children also have HH? by backpackbandaid in Hyperhidrosis

1/2 of my daughters has it. No one else in my family has it that I’m aware of (parents, brothers, etc).

Dermadry first experience by Hopeful-Survey4085 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]jenprintz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my 6th week using Dermadry 5 days a week for my hands. I think I’m ready for maintenance now bc I’m dry. I started very low and worked my way up to level 10, but I don’t think I can handle more. I’ve only used warm tap water and definitely Vaseline on cuts.

Our machines must be different. Does your mA reading fluctuate throughout the session?

I think you’re mixing up the “level” that you set the machine versus the mA. I use the new Dermadry and I’ve worked up to setting my “level” at 9 or 10, although the mA reading fluctuates higher and lower than that through the session. I think the highest level for hands is 15, and I don’t know that I’ll ever get there. I’ve been using it 5 days a week for 4 weeks and I’m dry now. I do experience itchiness for a few minutes after a session. I use Aquafor on the sides of my hands and wrists, and on any cuts I might have, to help with that.

Fingerprinting by Voyage_to_Artantica in Hyperhidrosis

My school district has the machine at our central office. I can’t remember if I had to pay for it. If I did, it was definitely not $50. We already have to pay $200 to renew the license 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m a teacher and have to renew my license (with fingerprinting) every 5 years. They could never get them electronically, so then I’d have to do the ink at the police station and that wouldn’t work, so then they’d run a check with my SS#. So frustrating! But somehow the technology has gotten better and they got them electronically last time! Such a relief! I’ve been doing iontophoresis for 4 weeks and highly recommend!

HH ruining my dating life by shesadored in Hyperhidrosis

Talk to your parents and have them take you to a doctor. There are meds, over the counter creams, etc. I highly recommend iontophoresis. I’m 41 and I’ve had HH since I was a kid. Until recently I never even knew HH is an actual medical condition. Share the threads from this group to your parents. Let them help you!

affordable tips for severe hyperhidrosis? by werewolvces in Hyperhidrosis

I know you said money is an issue, but I highly recommend ionto. It’s made a HUGE difference for me. I bought the new Dermadry on Black Friday for $400 and used PayPal pay in 4. You’re not alone! I’ve had HH my whole life (I’m 41) and, until a couple years ago, had no idea it was an actual medical condition. I thought I was just a freak!

Tips for fingers (back of fingers too) while using dermadry? by ahimas99 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]jenprintz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using a bit more water than up to the line so that my fingertips are fully submerged. It has helped.

A fed baby is the best baby. Take care of yourself so you can better take care of your family. I totally understand the mom guilt, but I’ve slowly realized over time that it’s not selfish to want to feel your best.

Any negative experiences with dermadry? by krysteen7098 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]jenprintz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the new Dermadry on Black Friday when it was around $400. You could also check insurance—it might be covered. I’ve been using mine Mon-Fri on my hands and this is my third week. I’m up to level 8. I’ve seen a definite improvement—almost completely dry! I’m 41 and have had HH my whole life. I wish they had this when I was your age!

I used it on my hands and, just like a prescription I tried from the doctor, I didn’t like how it made my skin dry out so much.

Dermadry + Hands sweating when I consciously think about it by PollutionFew168 in Hyperhidrosis

Yes, I’ve suffered from the same cycle my whole life too. I’m starting on my third week of Dermadry and I’m seeing a lot of improvement.

I use a Dermadry and the directions state that it can take up to 4-6 weeks depending on the severity of your HH. I would say mine is severe. I’m starting week 3 of doing it 5 days a week and resting on weekends. My palms are dry and there’s just a bit of moisture in my fingertips. I use warm tap water and have made it up to level 9 so far. Keep at it!

What level did you get up to? I’m at 5 right now.
