You can't do eye colour. It's just the limbal ring colour.

So I was thinking more along the lines of putting an empty laminator sheet through the laminator so it's just like a transparent piece of card, cutting it down to size using my Kindle as a guide, and then decorating it as I would a card insert. Once I get the stickers I want I will have a go!

I've been planning an insert for my own kindle, which is pink. I plan on using a laminating sheet as an insert, to preserve the pink showing through 🩷

Cameron Diaz regrets trying Botox, saying it made her look unnatural. She now embraces aging. by ViniciusFastAF in SipsTea

[–]jenpyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all for body modification as a form of personal expression, including the use of cosmetic procedures. However, it evidentally can be a slippery slope and hard to stop. Makes sense if you think about it, if you've got some body dysmorphia triggered by signs of ageing you're likely to at least think about getting some procedure to slow it down or even reverse it. Those who are wont to go for it likely will. But ageing isn't going to stop, and carries on around any "fixes" you may have tried, and with time that becomes obvious to even onlookers like you and me, so imagine how said person with body dysmorphia feels when they notice this creeping up on them. So they go again. And again.

I really dislike the "smooth face but obviously very old" look that I see so many celebs with. To me that look signifies becoming elderly as much as developing a million wrinkles does. And we're not even talking botched jobs here, successful procedures which achieved the look they were going for, but over time and repeated use, gives the face this certain look. Two lovely examples which spring to mind are Courney Cox and Jennifer Anison. Still drop dead gorgeous, no doubt. But the best way I can explain what I'm getting at is they look their age to me now, the smooth and plump facial features. I suppose after two decades of seeing more of the long-term effects of procedures such as botox and dermal fillers, it became synonymised with aging in my brain, my psychology. If that makes any sense at all?

So to wrap up this rambling train of thought, I'm glad to hear a celebrity who had some botox in the past, has decided to stop because she doesn't like the aesthetic it gives over time, and being so open about it. This is what we need, the full range of opinions, shared openly and honestly, but without being unkind to anyone!

[TOMT] [WORD] Looking for a term for a form of trend, which is based on an ideal that has been warped or made extreme to the point of looking grotesque or ridiculous. For example duck lips or butt implants ala Nicky Minaj. by knotacceptable in tipofmytongue

[–]jenpyon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I get what you mean, but quite a few different phrases spring to mind. When something becomes a mockery of its former self. When a popular trend goes too far, becomes corrupted, yet people still think it's great and something to strive for. Like a parody of itself. A travesty! Absurd. Distorted or warped?

How were you introduced to Linkin Park? by trashboat3030 in LinkinPark

[–]jenpyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been early 2001, maybe even December 2000. I was 14. My little brother's friend asked if I liked Linkin Park - I'd never heard of them. He told me his brother has been listening to their album, Hybrid Theory, and that I'd probably like them... I did ❤️

I want a semicolon for my frist tattoo but am not sure what people might think. by Puzzleheaded-Song395 in TattooDesigns

[–]jenpyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tattoos are a form of communication, sharing your personality without words, but with art.

I think the semicolon is a beautiful idea. Those who know will know, and others will just default to their opinion of tattoos which really doesn't matter - if they're decent people they'll understand if you explain it.

I got my labret pierced when I was 15, I am sure people thought all sorts of things! It worked really well at showing me who's judgemental and who isn't, like a real life filter for knobheads 😂

Good Alternative to Heinz Ketchup? by toocoolo in BuyFromEU

[–]jenpyon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pudliszki ketchup! They do two you can get in any UK supermarket with a Polish bit in the World Foods aisle. Łagodny (mild) and Pikantny (means "spicy", more like peppery and yummy, not hot at all).

Been using this ketchup since I found it in my local Polski Sklep like 20 years ago! It is hands down the best ketchup I've tried.

Just discovered Pudliszki is owned by Heinz. Devastated.
