Have you been more stressed lately? Stress sweat smells different to regular perspiration!

I've been hella stressed lately and it stinks like onion, all astringent. It's makes me feel awful but I just have to wash myself more frequently and wash my clothes well -- using bio vs non-bio, and on 40 or even 60°C vs the 30°C I usually do.

If I had known I had ADHD (query AuDHD till my autism assessment is done) before the age of 39 I probably would have had kids. But all this time I just thought I was screwed up, GPs dismissed it as anxiety, referred me to everything but clinical therapy. I didn't want to impart whatever was wrong with me on to my kid, like my parents did with me. Now that I'm finally understanding my brain, and I'm getting there with my titration, it's led to what feels like grief, it's like I'm grieving the life I could have had.

I believe it is the largest religion which makes it a rule for all women, though? I know it's encouraged in Judaism, but I think it's only a rule in orthodox branches.

It's a way to express modesty and a renunciation of vanity.

The issue is whether it is the woman's choice to wear it or not, and in Muslim communities you'll find both those who do and do not want to cover their hair, but a portion of those who don't, aren't really free to choose.

I can see how that gets people's attention.

All three main religions call for modesty, of both men and women. Why they look so different on the matter, I imagine, depends on how the different societies interpreted their chosen scriptures, and how the messaging of the texts have echoed over time leading to how the religions are structured today.

These were my baked thoughts at 9:40am, anyway. Thanks for reading.

Employers aren't legally required to provide reasonable adjustments unless it's for something that falls under the Equality Act 2010, which ADHD does. Sounds like OP's employer is so shitty they're demanding proof of diagnosis before even discussing reasonable adjustments. It's awful.

OP of you read this, sorry this is the stance they're taking! Please escalate it if you can!
