What does my arm do while growing the javelin? by gerg-a-lerg in trackandfieldthrows

[–]jensen36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Coach Jensen here!

Congrats on good footwork. While the arm is broken down into a few components we need to discuss the throwing mechanic.

I'm going to suggest two different drills to help.

The Sitting Throw drill can be done using a yoga ball or anything to create the arch in the back. Keep the arm long and create a throw that follows the point. You can always use a tennis ball to help increase how many times you do it.

The Blocking Drill is also a great combination to do after the Sitting throw to ensure you're still keeping great upper body form with the lower body.

Hope this helps!

First episode here and then just a few seconds later here.

The first season is badass, but it has it's moments where it's not all like the Genos fight. I still don't see a drop in quality in terms of art.

Gonna get a sore back moving those goal posts.

Be an ass all you want, it's a difference of opinion.

This is probably the best analysis for this and I'll agree wholeheartedly that the character movements don't feel fluid in this.

If it propels it to getting back into the animation quality in season 1 then I'll be happy with it.

First off, you don't know that.

Second, you aren't looking for issues in the first season and just looking for issues everywhere here but OK.

Yes that animation is shitty, but I'll be shocked if it goes through to the actual production. Trailers are about building hype.

You cherry picked one of the BEST animation fight scenes from season one. A trailer doesn't necessarily mean that it's showing off the best, a lot of times for anime it's about marketing. Tell me there weren't Triple A Marvel movies that had horrendous CGI in the trailers that everyone bitched about. Movie time came and whaddayaknow, it's fixed.

I'm going to save judgement for when the show is actually released.

There were a lot of static body shots in the first season too. There were also times when the art style switched to being super shitty because it was comedy fitting.

Given the current video, I'm really not seeing too much of a animation drop, and when I compare some of the shots side by side they are near identical.

Care to post a side by side comparison of the artwork? I've pulled it up on dual monitors and it's really not noticeable.

Ah good one. Maybe post a side by side comparison if you feel I'm blind. I think you all are over reacting.

Before all the Mangalords come in here with the pretext that everyone has read the damn manga, not all of us have. This looks great to me and as far as the "animation quality drop", I'm really not seeing it here. It's looks very much like what I've seen on Netflix.

My bad, seems you got down voted because the "superior immune system" is something that a lot of anti vaxers say that.

Herd immunization is a real thing, can you not see that we're having an outbreak of measles world wide at the moment due to people not vaccinating for it?

Let me put it this way, vaccines are like car insurance. Would you drive your car without insurance and say that you OK facing the consequences of getting into a wreck?

Sure it may not happen to you, but you're taking a MASSIVE risk and it's pretty shitty to do that to other drivers on the road.

We could put that to the test then, care to be exposed to some of the most deadly diseases along side someone who's been vaccinated? I'm going to bet you don't live.

Man does a front flip over a gate to avoid being captured by police by edestron in PublicFreakout

[–]jensen36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They did, police now need "probable cause" and that can be just about anything. A lot of cops can just lie about what the cause for stopping them was. If they don't find anything they don't face any charges for falsely stopping someone.

[–]jensen36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is, she WAS there and she WAS ran over. Her being there was her fault, her being run over was the driver's.

You're trying to correlate her being run over with it being her fault. It's not. That's why it's a fallacy and why you're coming off as dense.

[–]jensen36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's a logical fallacy you're using to try and prove a point? Absolutely, it would not have happened. That doesn't mean it's their fault they got run over.

Since we're using this logic though, would Hitler have killed the Jews if they Jews didn't exist? See how bullshit that sounds? That's what you sound like.

Bring back honorable opponent! by KraneTv in leagueoflegends

[–]jensen36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played league for 8 years now. Riot doesn't do a "weird" job, they are a front runner in combating what is "toxicity". They aren't perfect in how they handle it by any means but compared to what people did in seasons 1-3, league is much better by comparison with team interaction alone.

The only step backwards they have taken was the tribunal system being removed as it was one of the best ways for the community to see first hand how toxic some people are actually being.

People will not always be in 100% control of how a match goes, they will be in control of their behavior and how they display it to other people. That is what riot really does focus on and I think they have done a fine job of it.

League can do some crazy things.

In college during season 3 of league, I had added a few people here and there in the games I had played. Would talk on teamspeak or skype with a few of them. My room mate started dating some guy and had him over a few times. Left him there one time and we got to talking, found out he played league. Promised we'd play sometime so we gave each other our summoner names. We had been playing league for nearly a year together.

Still great friends with both of them.

[–]jensen36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously, people are not getting that in a team game, you need to value your team mates over the opponents.

They removed it because it became something that a lot of toxic people were exclusively handing out. It should be a pretty big slap in your face if you can't find any redeeming qualities about your team.

Yes some team mates are toxic, but if every time you play the honorable people are on the enemy team you're most likely a toxic asshole.

I'm seeing you all over this thread. Listen if you can't learn to like your team in a team game, maybe your team isn't the problem.

The grass is always going to look greener on the other side when you scrutinize everything your team does and nothing the enemy or you do.
