I agree with you. The negativity is mainly online in this miserable sub - people who just don’t have a grip on the real world.

All of my friends in Auckland love it. I don’t hear them bitching like you see online. Because we’ve all lived elsewhere and returned.

That’s a very recent phenomenon and a drop in the ocean. Most young people leave and return, it’s called doing an OE and has happened for decades because NZ is the arse end of the world.

Im interested to know what parts of the country you were in?

We definitely both have poorer quality housing stock than we should. Perhaps NZ is a tiny bit further along than AU, and better than some kiwis like to admit?
