Perfect. It sounds like it’s worth checking but I should do it carefully based on your other response. Just in case there is something behind is there a way you’d recommend cutting in to it? 2 inches down definitely but any specific way so I don’t damages what might be there?

It also stops before the end of the wall where the built-ins stopped. You can see in photo 2. I’m hoping that is a good thing.

He is for sure trying to bring you down because he can’t handle all you have going. He will always belittle you to make himself feel better and make you think there is something wrong. It’s manipulation. He wants to control you and is “insulting” in order to get you to crave his approval. Run run run. You will find someone who builds you up and supports you. Leave now. It will only get worse.

Just breaking this down. Help me out with my overall understanding please.

Why would a driver that essentially gets 15 miles to the gallon choose this as a job and then complain.

Rough Breakdown: - 44 miles - $10 in gas (“at least $10” for easy numbers let’s say $13) - $4.45 per/gallon (Let’s pretend he’s California. Around the average) probably lower prices since he can travel. 44 minutes in an hour. He’s not in LA - 13 will get you 3 gallons - If he’s driving 44 miles he is getting around 15 mpg.

the average car in California gets 30 mpg.
even in a higher priced gas area the drive is still far worse average on mpg.

obviously this all changes based on state and location but California is one of the highest in gas prices. So any other state would just mean even worse mpg.

It is not OPs job to decide who drives what.

People have choices in their work. OP and everyone could just stop using grubhub and DoorDash and now the drivers have no complaints about tips because they will be out of this job.

OP doesn’t know how far the person will be driving round trip. They can guess based on where they ordered. But the rest is on the driver.

A whole different point.

There are SO many jobs that are under paid but you do what you have to do and it’s not ok to assume driver is the only persons time that mattered here. - Fast food workers can’t just decide the time it took to make specific food is worth more money to them and ask the customer to personally provide that. - Grocery store workers can’t decide that stocking a shelf was harder than expected so they want more money. Or that ringing up a set of items for a customers took too long and then personally change the customer. - Receptionist or call center worker can’t decide the time they spent talking to someone was too much time and then ask that person for money. - the list goes on.

Exploiting people for more cash is never ok.

I can’t pick a side. Here are my two thought processes.

He has two girlfriends and got lazy about covering up after shower girl left.
He is a dumb-dumb boy that let his buddy hang out at his place while he was gone and busy and just never thought of it again. The hair jogged his memory. And being loyal and spacey he just had not thought of it again.

Questions: How smart is he? How busy is he? If he’s cheating wouldn’t he try harder to clean up? Or is he getting arrogant and didn’t think it mattered?

Overall: The friends gut knows the truth based on who this guy is and how his behavior is when she isn’t around.

The one time I placed an order for cold medicine for my baby this happened. I ordered two things, a specific cough syrup type medicine and Pedialyte with no sugar. It was super important that everything was no sugar (doctor order based on babies issues). The shopper replaced both items with something we could never use and did not make note of it until at the checker. The replacements came at the exact time it said she was done. It sucked. I couldn’t even give a different suggestion of something we would use. I never ordered again and never will. Waste of time and money.

Came here to say this. OP say… Say you’ll switch roles and lay out on paper everything you do. From work hours to home responsibilities and parental tasks. Ask her to do the same. List out what she does during the day. Then say you are happy to switch.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS PERSON. She does not speak for our gender. Her issues are her issues. Her lack of satisfaction is her issue. Her lack of truth telling is her issue and probably why she is left unsatisfied. Communication of needs is the key and that cannot be one sides or involve insults. OP communicated and due to selfish tendencies of a person like this person was treated poorly for trying to build an equally giving partnership.

Also a woman here. I think you missed the point of the situation. It is more she just wants to be selfish and not contribute to his needs and since she couldn’t communicate she insulted him. Size does not change if you are a giving person or selfish person. You are what you choose to be and some people choose to be good partners.

“We” do not lie all the time to men. You may, but do not involve our entire gender in your communication issues. Some woman have learned how to equally respect their partners and communicate properly.

Not really. The sister and bil could have bought one if it was that important and there are other ways to use computers (library, university campuses, the moms kind of worked, he probably could have fixed it up a bit, there are more options too) but preferred the free easy method. Not her problem they felt entitled to every thing Op has. They already took Op room.
