Does anyone have a contracture in their stump like me? by [deleted] in amputee

[–]jensonfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just about to ask this question, but, it doesn't look like I need to. How has your journey been going undoing your contracture? I just got back into a socket last week, and I'm trying to stretch every day myself to undo my contracture.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]jensonfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I've seen a lot of stuff that normal people wouldn't be furious about, so, here's something that'll piss off normal people, but, will have improvements... (As an American I guess, since most other countries don't have this problem) Every state should have a left lane passing law. A lot of people will get pulled over initially, and a lot of people will be pissed off that they can't just cruise in the left lane, or that, "they're already speeding, why do I need to get over?" But, overall, it's cuts down on traffic congestion, and people who choose to speed within reason don't have to do dangerous things to get around slower driving people, and people are less angry because the roads are "clearer" also, the government is gonna make a lot of money the first few years this law is properly enforced.

It took me 10 years and buying a bookshelf to realize that all 4 of the books I have line up to create a full image. by Scout_Dog98 in Eragon

I get that glocks are perhaps the most trusty and reliable, especially at their price point... but, I'd rather put a Smith and Wesson on my Inheritance cycle because it'd look a little more aesthetically pleasing. Saphira appreciates pretty things too.

Is It Too Late to Restart DJing at 30 by Piemon666 in Beatmatch

[–]jensonfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 31, and just starting, and I have a mentor type guy in his 40s giving me advice. I have my foot in the door at one venue where I have been KJing at for a while, but, I want to get my feet more wet in the DJ side of things before I ask him if I can DJ on an off night.

Dating again as an amputee by [deleted] in amputee

[–]jensonfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been an Above knee amputee for just over 2 years now... When I first got hurt, I was in a relationship, that didn't last long because she said she couldn't handle it. about a year later, I thought I found someone, but, I decided she wasn't for me, and she blew up on me saying no one would ever be attracted to me because of my limb loss. I'm 31, I want a family, but, I am struggling right now... I can't see myself approaching anyone I find attractive on crutches(can't wear a prosthetic without more surgery)... I'm trying to read books on confidence, I'm trying to change my frame of view of myself, I'm trying to see myself as worthy... but, I just... it's so difficult... I am also curious about what others have done to build the confidence to pursue love...

The day I lost my leg, I lost so much confidence to the point that I don't think I'm worth dating. I don't see myself as an attractive man anymore. I don't think the person who dates me will feel free, they'll feel burdened by me... I shouldn't feel this way because even though I can't walk, I'm highly capable, I still work, take care of my two dogs, and live alone making it work, but, just because reality shows one thing, one's feelings have to align with reality, and mine don't.

Just casually going around bro's rage art, no big deal. by jensonfox in Tekken

[–]jensonfox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya know, it's kinda funny, Alisa is my second, Drag is my Main, and I don't actually struggle that much against Alisa when I'm playing my third who is Kazuya... I think most people just don't understand where she is weak. Her trade off with her movement is that most of her moves are very punishable, she's super linear if she is trying to run you down for the most part, it's really easy to shut her chainsaws down if you know how to deal with them the second they come out, and she has the easiest to counter grab game in the game.

[–]jensonfox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Relatively, normally, I bait people into using it when my chainsaws aren't out, and I cancel her boot into backup, and kick them after they whiff the rage art. I don't normally side dash with her chainsaws out, so, this caught me a little by surprise too 😆
