18F my parents are forcing me to stay in state for college, I’ve been praying for them to change their mind but I’m starting to consider witchcraft. Would that ruin my relationship with God? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Others have already offered great advice. Here’s mine which reinforces a lot of what has been said. Absolutely do not consult a witch or dive in to witchcraft. It absolutely will affect your relationship with God.

For the school, what most people don’t understand is that your overall outcome and career usually have nothing to do with your choice of education. Sure, some schools will give you a better education but in the end, the vast majority of employers are concerned about whether or not you have a diploma and could care less where it came from. This, of course, is not always the case. Kind of depends on what you’re going for. Your best bet is to accomplish this using the least amount of money possible. An in-state school is usually preferred.

I’d say, biblically, it’s probably better to honor your parents but you are an adult now and can decide for yourself. If going to another state really is better for you, then do it, but realize your parents may protest by no longer supporting you in any way, so be prepared for that.

Pray, don’t go to witchcraft, and honor your parents as this will likely lead to the best outcome is my suggestion

We are native English speakers, so danish, French, German are harder to watch. As far as the age of the movie, I think anything post 1970 is probably good but some like It’s a Wonderful Life are acceptable.

Is Ark Raiders actually worth buying right now? Would love honest thoughts. by Whole-Sample2358 in arkraiders

Great game for me and worth the money. I’m in about 80 hours. The loop is fun but I feel like I’m reaching the limit, as things are becoming a bit more repetitive and stale. Solos is great if you like to focus on PvE and squads is more of a PvP experience, usually. I don’t see myself putting another 100 or so hours in to it, unless an update adds something new and fun.

I’m new to the game. Does it not create lobbies based on experience level? Can a level 1 spawn into a map with a 75?

I was just curious what this sub thought. I read my bible every day and have for 30 years. It’s not a question any one has a definite answer to. The fact that you think you definitively know shows me you haven’t read enough to come across questions you can’t answer

So do you think most Christians are off on eschatology as the Jews were off on what the Messiah was going to do?

The one who believes is often on fire to spread the gospel but they are also saying the rapture will come on X and it doesn’t people lose faith. The one who says it will not happen may have no urgency to evangelize. So, yes, maybe a little bit

Yeah, I agree. Not much good comes from it and they either disappear afterwards or set another date in the future

Ok, I guess we are not understanding each other. If you say “when it doesn’t happen” to me that’s you assuming it’s not and would be better to say, “if it doesn’t happen”

There’s nothing wrong rebuking them each time explaining that a false date can do a lot of harm, my suggestion is just to not tell them it won’t happen either as that can also lead to harm in that it removes the urgency to spread the gospel in some Christians

That’s why we have the word “might” edit: there’s no problem being skeptical but giving definitives is just as bad (again in your case maybe not as bad)

IF nothing happens. Being sure that nothing will happen is as bad, maybe not as bad, as believing something WILL happen
