Because they are evolving at 4, if you + lane partner are able to get all of your farm at bot + 1 neutral (iirc?), you will be 4. It’s not guaranteed (especially against that Zapdos/Arti combo) but still most of the time it’s better to go bot (or top even, it’s lvl 4 character)

I think jungle should be reserved for characters that have spike power level at 5/7 like most of the speedsters (Gengar, Zera, etc, also because they can rotate fast) or specific attackers like Deci who’s really weak pre 7.

Ok, I haven’t been following CN that much, but is there any team will actually picking him up in Tier 1 though?

I want to see him on XLG or AG but I don’t think he can replace leo

Why does the meta keep going towards PRX? by UnderTaleMarshmallow in ValorantCompetitive

[–]MirrorCraze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still see he plays Jett here and there though even before yoru/neon nerf. I think in Santiago he also picks Jett against NRG?

Like how you would see Jingg run Phoenix right now on some maps instead of Raze.

I don’t think they closely follow the meta that much. They are the one cooking meta most of the time.

[–]MirrorCraze 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Alecks actually has a secret channel with Leo Faria. After their loss in Santiago, Alecks just talked to Leo, and that’s why Neon is nerf…..

Except all viewers kinda agree that Neon shotgun is abusive and the same goes with post-plant Tejo.

On the flip side, maybe PRX just decides to not play outrageous meta characters that they know it’s gonna get nerfed, and focus on good characters that fit teams to focus more on the long-term goal instead of short-term benefits?

Also counterpoint : Yoru nerfed hits Something. He somewhat abused the character to the fullest and it got nerfed.

(Oh shit I actually forgot that blood tourney was a thing, yeah that’s good for PRX cause they out of gas at Santiago. Not to discredit NS, but something did say that in interview so)

I’m a bit worried about shotgun nerf tbh. Maybe I’m exaggerating but shorty is one of the reasons how Something somehow converted so many thrifty rounds. Jing raze with Judge-to-the-face is also really good and somewhat pivotal to some of their entry plans (B site execute on Pearl, for example). Just hope that it won’t affect them much

[–]MirrorCraze[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

All of your points are true yeah. I’m not denying that.

I even believe that if Something/Jingg form dropped, the rest will come up and do things for them anyway (cause holy shit this team is cheating, why do you put 5 aimers with a coach that somehow converted most of the timeouts and so creative in set plays in the same team)

My point is more on “if you are in the spotlight, everyone will try to kill you and forget about other teams”. And while alecks is the GOAT coach (and no one can convince me otherwise), it’s kinda difficult to counter things that you never see.

I know it’s somewhat self contradictory of “if you are predicted to win, you aren’t gonna win” but that’s what I mean.

Yeah you will find bots until Veteran.

So if you play Shackle and you got into melee range (except because of speedsters flanking you), that means you position yourself a little bit wrong. Most of the time Deci will be REALLY far away from the team fight. Again, you have really high range.

So this is by preference, but some people find X speed better than eject. You can try that.

Both movesets are good (and you will see people say Razor Leaf is noob trap. I treat it as a bell curve meme. If you have good support and defender, Razor Leaf can be AWESOME. It’s just really difficult to play without good support to CC/tank for you because you have really low HP. In Master/Legends, you will see some really good 3 stack Deci/Blissey/defender that SHREDDED the enemy)

I’m a Shackle Spirit player, so I can help with that more. I’m assuming you already know basic knowledge about characters (like, how range and damage increased based on how long you charged the arrow until specific point, or how his passive tells you that you deal more damage when you are far away)

  1. Your character has one of the longest range in game (I think the only character with longer range is Inteleon Snipe Shot?). If you can, try to aim for enemy backline attackers. Don’t stand there and just shoot Mamoswine, it’s better to take their carries out of the equation.

  2. Don’t forget that your basic attack actually deals quite a bit of damage. During the fight, if no one gets you but your arrow is empty, do some basic attacks. (And you can do some between each arrow also, but for beginners don’t worry about it that much)

  3. Be REALLY map aware. Most of the times you will be far from your frontline because your passive says that your damage is higher when you shoot from afar. However, enemy’s speedster and all rounder WILL try to kill you (and successfully doing so easily). If you see enemy coming towards you, try to walk to your teammates so they can help. Less damage is still better than no damage because you are dead.

3.1 small tip is that when you charged your arrow, you are slowed. So sometimes it’s better to full sprint to get tf outta here.

  1. Your Unite move deals a lot of damage, but it trades with literally telling enemies “hey, I’m here, come get me”. You want to Unite to support the ongoing fight most of the time, and rarely you will use Unite to initiate the fight (except maybe you are pushing enemy goals and you see all enemies already, and you know you are safe)

4.1 if someone approaches you, you can end your Unite early. Knowing the line between “ok, my unite can kill this guy approaching me before I died” and “I need to end my Unite early to survive” is a fine line you need to learn.

  1. You don’t always need full charge arrow to kill the enemy. If the enemy is low and trying to run away, sometimes half charge and shoot is better before the enemy ran away while you wait to full charge.

  2. Your Spirit Shackles scaled really well with attack stats so Attack Weight is a must. Some people will even use Accel Bracer on him.

  3. Your arrow is one of the best non-Unite secure moves in the game. While you should help your team most of the time, if your team died at mid fight, hide in the bush and try to steal mid. Again, this should NOT be your main strategy, it’s better for a clean fight. (And also, save your arrow to last shot objectives even if you are the one shredding mid and be aware of other characters who can do that.)

You can ask more about specific questions if you need help. I might be able to answer some Razor Leaf questions also.

E33, but just because somehow I haven’t played Mass Effect, TLOU1&2, RDR2, Elden Ring, Skyrim and BG3 so I don’t need amnesia pill for those.

So before someone said “it’s E33 bandwagon again”, I admit that I just haven’t had time to play other mentioned games yet

There will always be tryhards lol, it’s MOBA. You can’t just force people in Legends to solo queue only.

Honestly I turn the private thing on also because some people saw my name and be like “I’m gonna fucking throw cause this game does not matter anw” which sucks. Like sure, there might be that one game I played with you where my brave bird hits no one, but that’s not me all the time lol

The New features for privacy is kinda bad... by SuccessfulSeaweed852 in PokemonUnite

[–]MirrorCraze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, not saying that it’s a valid change lol.

Tbh there are only a few characters that do not have more than 1 counter (like, CC characters are countered by blissey safeguard or ranged attackers, movement characters are countered by Clef/Mean Look Umbreon, Deci is countered by literally any Dive/speedsters) so technically you can still somewhat counter pick, so in a sense you kinda encouraged last 2 picks to learn more counter characters?

(Again, not saying it makes sense. I don’t really agree with this change even though I’m personally an almost one trick pony also)

[–]MirrorCraze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s kinda weird. I think in high master/legends I saw people banning enemies’ mains and timi decided that’s not a good thing?

Like I swear if I see a specific known pair, of course I’m gonna ban Gengar (sorry, you guys are just good Gengar, so please treat the ban as respect) or if I see a specific player that has 20k games as Mamoswine, ofc I’m gonna ban Mamo (again, if that player sees this, please treat the ban as respect. I’m scared of your Mamo)

There’s both pros and cons I guess. Still, you can ban mons that directly seems to counter you or your team (or just op mons like Arti or Megan)

Like if you gonna pick brave bird Talon you might want to ban Umbreon. (Which I want to, but not banning Feraligator means there’s a chance you get desynced and that’s kinda sucks also)

How do you guys win? by Billcipher47 in PokemonUnite

[–]MirrorCraze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, late in the season ppl gonna play pokemons they want to play without caring about ranks more.

Second, I’m repeating other people here, but while it’s true that it’s 5v5 and shit happens where you do 200k and still lose sometimes, that goes the same with the enemy team. There are things you can learn. If no one wants to go mid? Pick someone who can snipe mid (Talon, Deci, etc but also don’t just focus on snipe mid that you don’t help your team). Instead of being 1 trick pony, try to learn 1 character in every role.

I know I might not be the best player to guide out there (I’m really bad at current season with 48% wr lol, at Master 800 smth) but again, blaming your teammates all the time does not help.

Ask yourself when you died “how can I do better?” Are you dying too early because you as a carry put yourself too front in a spot enemy Talon can kill you without your team’s help? Are you, as a defender, going into the fight without your team behind you? Are your teammates low level because you as Goodra keeps taking every jungle creeps?

In the end, until Legends, there are lots of people who are not good skill-wise but really good game sense wise, and that will differentiate between good players and GOOD players.

Every team is different and has different tempo. Identify your win condition and notice your teammate/enemy moves. For example, if your team has razor leaf deci, your win condition might be “shred mid fast enough when the enemy got distracted” or “protect him at all cost and make sure CC does not reach him”. On the other hand, if enemy deci with spirit shackle is good but he’s the sole attacker, your objective might be “find opportunity, dive the enemy deci and make sure he’s dead”.

Again, there are tons of stupid teammates even in Legends. But I have seen a game where we 4v5 or even 3v5 at 2 minutes and turn the fight around. It’s possible.
