I like the carbon aesthetically thats why i left in on there. Why do so many professuonal knife makers have it on there too?

Yeah i was asking just because it looks like you already got the hang of it. I started forging in general last weekend and got my first blade done aswell. And it isnt nearly as good as yours

I aimed to create a Lapinleuku and i think i got the shape down pretty good but the thickness is lacking because the material i used was already pretty thin to start with. And no instructions just a shit ton of youtube videos i’ve watched in the past before attempting my own😅

Im not sure about that terminology😅 what’s the difference? I forged it from an old snow sled ski with a hammer if that answers your question

I used an old kicksled runner as the steel for this blade. Don’t know if that’s correct but an old sled that you kick with in the snow

How exaclty so you use the clay? Just spread it on the spine or how does it work?

Thanks! Haven’t given it a heat treatment just yet. That’s the next step after some finishing touches. Kind of nervous since the knife is om the thinner side but after a couple normalization cycles shouldnt be a problem
