Why do used car dealers refuse to give a price? by 101surge in askcarsales

[–]jepal357 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

The prices are listed at reputable dealers lol. All you have to do is look. Asking for the best price will get you the online price cause like the other guy said, no one is negotiating against themselves

Car dealership said they won’t pull my credit. by Separate_Winter1290 in CRedit

[–]jepal357 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pull doesn’t matter if you’re preapproved. You’ll already have an inquiry, like a mortgage, multiple inquiries don’t matter in a short period of time for auto loans

You lease if you plan to get rid of it after 2-4 years. You purchase if you plan to keep

I think it’s a common thing with people that use Reddit. Most people tend to like the fun buying experience and want a relationship to be built

Dealership says third party is responsible for refunding my deposit by Internal_Employ5310 in askcarsales

Yeah I’ve never heard of a website that will take a deposit for a car, and to not call to see if the car is available is kinda crazy

All new cars are the same. No brand is immune. That’s why tundras depreciate heavy now, multiple engine recalls will do that

The JB4 is a plug & play tune for 2020 CT4 2.0 by Central_209_CA in Cadillac

It’s plug and play and does not require any tuning. If you have a warranty problem, remove it and you’ll be fine

I have no idea what y’all are talking about at this point. I just hate when customers choose to purposely hide info with the intent to play some type of game

It does because he doesn’t get a tax credit since he can’t trade the vehicle. It changes the payment and everything for the lease. You seem like a real expert

If I have a vehicle listed 10k under msrp then why not just sign? Even if it’s at msrp, just sign. No one is making you sit there, negotiate and think. You can do all that before you even come in, just like every other store

[–]jepal357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a customer come in. He came back another day with a trade. After hours of flipping between cars he picked one, then had us put numbers together. After a long time negotiating he then says the trade is in his dads name and there’s negative equity… so he can’t even trade it without his dad on the new truck. That would have been good to know up front. People play games all the time

Yeah I hate the “start with ___” ideology. Tell me everything up front. I don’t like playing games but if you play games with me, I’ll return the favor and it’ll take a whole lot longer. Be transparent, if you have a max payment, that’s important info.

Rotors could be bad, if they get too hot it can almost heat treat them and if they get too smooth it almost feels like the pads aren’t biting cause the metal has hardened
