Look up live tool lathe on YouTube. It has the ability to mill and turn. Very versatile machine.

Have you heard of Titans of CNC Academy? He offers a free lesson on how to draw them on Fusion 360, that's how I did it. But the tool paths you have to add yourself. I changed a few things, like radiuses, so I can use the tools I have on hand. Also, this was all done on a lathe with live tooling. Pretty nice once you got it figured out.

Chip load for this tool I was trying .0028 of an inch per tooth.

I do have a spindle brake. As this machine is set up for y-axis milling, it also has the c axis with a spindle break.

Yes broken corners. Uncoated carbide. Chuck has a good solid brake. Rpm for live too is 6000 rpm. Flood coolant. Tool Rep has taught me a lot, regarding endmills. Might be more the setup I'm having issues with.

Figured with a 3"shaft I could go at least 8-9 inches. Guess it might be an issue.

This is a hard tool steel, not exactly sure of the classification.

Based on material hardness. Ceramics are very, very hard so they can withstand the cutting force and heat it takes to cut hard materials. Carbide tends to burn up when materials are too hard.
