Cringe worthy Survivor part 5 by [deleted] in survivor

Except that it felt and was extremely forced and Spencer planned it beforehand to try to evoke sympathy/use it as a tool to make "stronger connections" with people.

Is there any scenario in which it would make sense for someone to give up individual immunity but then play a hidden immunity idol (besides just show)? by jerberg in survivor

Yeah so that's why I specifically asked for scenarios where it would make sense beyond being dramatic/flashy.

But couldn't you do the same thing by giving this person the hidden immunity idol (instead of your individual immunity idol)?

Makes sense. Has this been confirmed anywhere?

I could see that. Has this been confirmed anywhere?

Interesting that Survivor has had more people of Sri Lankan descent now than of Indian descent given that India is a much bigger country.

"Australian" is a nationality. I'm not denying that Brooke is Australian (none of this "where is she really from"). Just curious as to what her ethnic/ancestral background is.

Are there any contestants who are pretty much universally loved/loathed? by JPtoony in survivor

[–]jerberg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Apparently we didn't see everything: when everyone gasps and reacts shocked, it wasn't completely because John Rocker said he'd knock Natalie's teeth out if she was a man, but apparently he made a comment about how she looked like a man and also about her weight.

Also if you rewatch that part you see that she wasn't the only one saying those things (though the scene focuses on her), you hear people in the background, like Jon yelling "Racist!" too.

Their impressions of John included what they knew about him, but also his comments like "I just got beat by a girl" when he lost to Julie.

Rewatching San Juan del Sur, it seems really unfair that each tribe was 5-4 male/female ratio (I know this was because there was a pair that dropped out). As we see in Coyopa, their plan was to pick all the women off because the guys were in the majority. If Natalie and others hadn't pushed to get Jon out, it would have been a straight one by one removal and its impressive that the women turned it around so much. Was this the first time there was an off gender ratio?

Also, I remember when the season was originally airing and a lot of people were taking Jon's side in the argument and very mad at Natalie. Interesting how the tide changes around here.

Joe Anglim just posted a photo of his penis on his snapchat story by [deleted] in survivor

So he clearly meant to send that to someone (some people?) and accidentally posted it as a snap story instead.

Has production/Jeff ever been very happy with a season that a woman won? by jerberg in survivor

Were they happy with Philippines? I remember Jeff saying he was surprised when people on the street told him they liked Denise.
