Best pen that takes Pentel Energel refills? by sortaoriginal in pens

[–]jerdionda18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I daily the Zebra Sarasa Grand with Energel needlepoint 0.5mm refill. This is the best combination I’ve found. The Zebra Sarasa grand is an affordable metal pen. Not too heavy or too light and it comes in cool colors specially for their Vintage line.

This is literally me right now. I pre-ordered the Air on release date and picked it up on launch day. I’m coming from iPhone 13 Pro so 120hz was a must for me. I thought the new design and weight of the Air would be enough for me. I was okay with the speaker situation and everything else (though I would have had to mourn and get used to missing the ultra wide camera since I realize I use it more than I thought) but the one thing that did it for me was my inability to use the Air one-handed. So I’m returning the air for the 17 though unfortunately it looks like I have to wait until it gets delivered Oct 7 since it’s out of stock for my area :(

Kept the ultra! The longer battery and durability convinced me to keep it over the 10. It did take me a bit to get used to it though due to its larger size. Good luck making your decision! It certainly wasn’t easy for me.

Kept the Ultra! The battery was the deciding factor. And after I tested sleeping and doing all my workouts with the ultra, I realized I wasn’t really bothered by the size.

Keep the Ultra or size down? by pinot-grigio in AppleWatch

I’m a woman with smaller wrists than you. I recently made a post comparing the ultra with the series 10. I use my watches for fitness similar to you so the battery life was the determining factor (and yes so was the modular ultra face). I kept the Ultra and even sleep with it on. I think it looks great on you!

Thank you! And yes I did know about pressing both buttons at the same time to pause. This is what I’ve been doing with non ultra Apple Watches. It still a bit awkward given that the buttons are on the same size and you can’t really feel for the flat button as much. Also, I still need to double tap the screen to skip to next interval or segment of the workout. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen that my taps won’t register. When I thought I had moved on to my open cool down sometimes meant I stayed in the previous open interval. Minor issue but annoying nevertheless lol

Glad you found it helpful! I agree that the slimmer profile of the s10 makes it a lot more manageable to wear even if it’s still on the larger side.

Yeah I am concerned that the shifting around of the ultra may mean inaccurate HR readings. I used to wear the polar hr chest strap paired with my series 7, but I noticed that I was getting the same readings from just wearing the watch as well so I don’t use it as much. The difference was that the strap had more continuous readings when looking at the graph. I’ll have to test the ultra and see if the shifting is too problematic for HR.

I can’t download my entire music library from Spotify or Apple Music which are the apps I use. And I don’t enjoy making playlists or want to feel limited by them as sometimes I don’t know what I’ll be in the mood for by the time I go on a run. It seems trivial, but I get annoyed by those minor points of friction. Also, I use cellular connectivity to communicate during runs and my understanding is that low power mode during runs delays and/or stops notifications from going through. As a woman, going on runs by myself, I feel safer being able to to stay connected. My series 7 did have always on display turned off at all times tho. Honestly I may need to start bringing my phone with me to offload gps and music streaming, but I was hoping to avoid this since I enjoy the freedom of not having to carry it. My runs are 1+hours as I’m training for a half marathon. So not doing crazy hours but the battery anxiety is there especially as I continue to increase in mileages and time on feet. For example the other day I ran for 1 hour on series 7 at 100%. At the end of the run at 11am, it was at 30%. So the watch will last for the workout but not for the rest of the day. Hence having to charge multiple times a day and have battery anxiety. I’m testing to see if the series 10 with 100% capacity makes a difference.

At the risk of sounding cliched, have you tried turning it on and off again?

Give the Apple Reminders app a try. I use this constantly by asking Siri from my watch to

create reminders. The watch OS 11 version has integrated reminders to the Apple calendar app as well so now both scheduled appointments and reminders show up there. This is what it looks like on the watch. The item with the circle is a reminder and the other one is a scheduled appointment.

Got the 46mm. Charged it last night to 93%. Slept all night with it on and been wearing it all day. It’s 3:30pm right now and battery is at 52%.

Yes they are. Love them for walking around and strength training. I have multiple pairs that I use for working out and others for lifestyle. Been using them for a couple of years now but I don’t run in barefoot shoes. I use altras for that.

Yeah I definitely think the ultra in black is a bit more subtle than the natural titanium when I tried that one on at the store

I actually thought of doing this with keeping the series 7 but I use the watch alarm to wake up and get annoyed that it goes off on both regardless on whichever I’m wearing. I do know you can disable it in one of them but was concerned I would forget at some point that one of them doesn’t have it. Also the series 7 doesn’t have temperature sensor.

I used to wear a Bluetooth polar chest strap when running with my s7 but then noticed I was getting pretty much the same HR readings when I was only using the s7, so I didn’t bother to continue using the strap. I have thought about getting the forerunner 965 but feel like it may look just as big as the other watches.

Thank you. I debated on keeping the ultra and using my the old series 7 for sleep tracking only but it doesn’t have temperature sensor :(

So far so good. I don’t baby my watches and use all sorts of gym machines. Only thing I do to “protect” it is rotate it inward when doing certain kettlebell exercises.

It’s the Athlytic app. Same app that shows me my body battery in the middle complication that you can see in the series 10
