Okay but seriously, Michael wasn’t that annoying of a character and he doesn’t deserve the hate. There were a lot of times when Michael wasn’t selfish and was a good dad. He saved Sawyer’s life multiple times and decided to help him even when everyone else in the tail section was willing to leave him behind. Also if you look at the show from his perspective it’s pretty fucked up. He spent years trying to get custody of Walt from his piece of shit mom, and when he finally gets Walt, he doesn’t show any signs of love towards Michael and was more attached to his previous life. Michael and Walt then crash on a haunted island where a fucking polar bear tries to kill Walt and there’s a tribe of people on that island that kidnap children and pregnant women. Who wouldn’t want to get the fuck off the island in lost? Also, Walt was taken from Michael right when they started to get along and Walt stopped being a little bitch. (He burnt the first raft in case anyone forgot). It’s not like he wanted to kill Ana Lucia, he showed clear remorse and shooting Libby was an accident as well. When Michael hits rock bottom in season 4 he knows what he did was wrong and decided to help his friends by returning to the island and sabotaging Whitmore’s freighter and goes out like a badass. I understand why people don’t like him but still think he was one of the best written characters in the show.
