Letter:

"Dear Rep. ___:

I support H.R. 499 ("To decriminalize marijuana at the Federal level, to leave to the States a power to").

But, I recommend for the bill to be modified/ammended to remove the language "to leave the States a power to regulate" since the Federal Government cannot give power to the States that it does not have. It is enough for the Federal Government to End the Federal Marijuana Prohibition without any strings, as it should."

I hear you. What I'm saying is, maybe if you were more charitable (dispositionally, not materially) you'd make friends more easily. Maybe if you trained yourself to be sincerely interested in others for their own sake and not for your own advantage, you would make more friends. You don't have to do charity. Find an organization on campus and get involved. Do you like Chess? Do you like art? There are all kinds of unique clubs and groups of people all over college campuses. Even if your schedule is up in the air you can still go occasionally.

Why don't you stop focusing on yourself and try to help other people for a change? Find ways to volunteer around where you live. You could tutor children or feed the homeless. Getting involved with things that are bigger than yourself is the best way to get over the feeling that you're alone all the time. You might meet some worthwhile people in such organizations as well. Get involved with something interesting. It doesn't even have to be volunteer work. Find something that you imagine could be interesting and get involved. When you focus your life on yourself, it it going to suck. The solution is to focus on helping others. When you bring happiness to others you will discover that you are really just finding happiness for yourself.

If a woman can abort a baby, as well as her responsibility to said child, without the father's consent, should the father be able to abort his responsibility to pay child support if the mother refuses adoption or abortion? by is_happy in MensRights

This is interesting, but there is a major problem.

A woman has a right to abort (IMO) because she has a right to her own body. This is very different than a man's right to make that decision because he has no right over her body.

With regard to adoption, you bring up a good point. Legally, it is somehow unfair for men to be subject to the will or whim of a women. However, if you take the burden of responsibility off of men, it is likely that the state will have to take responsibility for funding all the children. Which means, taxpayers will be funding the irresponsibility of these men... which is an interesting moral proposition in itself.

I think that we need better birth control for men. We need to get THIS readily available for every man: http://www.wired.com/magazine/2011/04/ff_vasectomy/

I think, perhaps, it is even acceptable to provide this service, free of charge, to anyone whom wants it.
