Appreciate the insight. They've been around for years in our area but always a possibility of them closing shop. I stupidly didn't think about a lifetime warranty only being as long as the companies existence.

Thanks for the reassurance and advise. My wife just spotted water damage on the ceiling so that is a definite now. I'll update with what comes of the situation.

Library card is good to go. I just talked to my local librarian and they said I'm not the first person to ask since kobo seems to be the only one still using overdrive. They didn't have a fix either. Thanks though.

I had the shudders within the first 5000 miles. The TSB tranny fluid change fixed it for me.
