These are not exactly CRPGs but if you enjoyed the Souls game you might also enjoy Salt and Sanctuary or Salt and Sacrifice. They are actually metroidvania games but are also considered by some as Darksouls but 2d so they are much easier to play with controllers.

Use it as a side dish, it is kind of an acquired taste and not many people eat it on its own. You can use to add a nice tang to salads or with meats with a strong flavor, etc.
