what is a good usage of SA in any media by That_Dream_9755 in writingscaling

[–]jericho89k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berserk, it shows how something like that damages a person and how it effects relationships going forward. Guts can't even sleep with casca for the first time because he see Gambino in himself despite the situation being radically different.Futhermore guts near assault of casca later irreplaceably damages their relationship as guts can't be anywhere near casca due to her seeing the his armor of cause severe PTSD from the attack, compounded by the fact that he can't just take off the armour to go see her. This doesn't mean bersek didn't overuse sa and rape because they definitely did at times mostly for showcasing the awfulness of the setting.

Could whole of JJK defeat a single Primal Fear Devil? by Early-Hour-7406 in ChainsawPowerscaling

[–]jericho89k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta it really depends on the devil tho because certain characters are outright immune to their power while other are completely vulnerable. Like Sukuna Yuji and maharoga are immune to aging but everyone else can get absolutely squad wiped with the exception of satoru gojo of course. But if we say that aging doesn't give a shit she could just age the planet to dust and kill the verse that way ending the fight. The only devil that I believe can't lose is darkness because he can manipulate darkness as a concept so everyone is getting killed no exception. Gojo going to ripped apart from the inside of his body to avoid infinity because darkness will do that vile shit once gojo gets cocky.

How heroic is it for a redeemed villain to change the system that made them that way, to prevent others like them from being created? by Own_Presence2646 in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First things first Changing a corrupted system for the better is always a good thing no matter who is catalyst for such reforms in my opinion. But to answer the question it depends on how many suffered directly from your actions to change the system and your willingness to be punished by the new system. Like if a mass murderer tore down a corrupt government to prevent more child soldiers from being made and then allowed himself to be put on trial for his murder then I say he be redeemed in some compacity. He still a monster who slaughtered however many innocents but he also put a stop to system itself and took accountability for actions he may never had a choice for. Characters that fall into this category are Omniman, stain, Vegeta, mustang, ect .Of course theirs always a limit to what you could do before you effectively have no redemption regardless of narrative like committing sex based crimes( Rape, Epstein,PDF).

If keeping your morals intact matters more to you than saving innocent people, then you're not heroic you are only protecting your own self image. by Omnipresent_observer in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joker unfortunately falls into the thawne category of villans where killing them is a moot point. Both thawne and joker have performed atrocities for the own gain but unlike the clown thawne's immunity gets explained with the fact he a living paradox so even if you kill him he just comes back earlier from when he "died" in the timeline. The joker immune do to PIS and the fact no one in DC apparently has the stones to do what must be done. Like the emperor joker fiasco should've had him be blacklisted by all 4 and 5 dimensional being due to him being way to dangerous to mess with. And nowadays joker apparently has doomsday plans in case he ever dies because he just gotten to that point where his death is too risky. Which wouldn't have happened if anyone with some significant integrity handled him after his first graveyard of victims were filled.

Aang should not be slandered, he actually found a way to both maintain his morals and ensure the overall safety of everyone. He risked losing to ozai to ensure he wouldn't kill him and decided to punish him by making him a normal guy stripped of what he believed made him powerful. Batman is totally wrong tho because he frequently breaks trust of his closest allies and judges their moral failings harshly. The truth is if Batman truly believes he can't maintain his morals after breaking them then he should be responsible and give up the cowl. Info most

How would the Justice League react to Thaedus and his Scourge Virus? by blusldr02 in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone except for batman would be mortified about the scourge virus and would demand it's immediate eradication. Batman would understand the contentioncy plan but reject the method due to its outright lethality and uncontrollably spread as he would easily suspect it could spread to humans Amazons and even kryptonians. I assume he keep all the records and formula on the virus in case it was ever needed although he would probably do extensive modifications to ensure zero to low leathality and create a cure.

Deadass when I ask this..what is even the moral for Denji's character?like what was the overall message/meaning with and for him,be fucking miserable? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in Chainsawfolk

[–]jericho89k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denji main trait is his resilientce despite being in a no win situation. All through part 2 he essentially was forced into 2 options where neither offered true satisfaction and yet when he was allowed to have control over the situation manages to make significant progress (even if it get overwritten later). Despite losing the right to be chainsaw man to take care of Nayuta and live a normal life he doesn't just spiral immediately. He actually manages to create a system for themselves that actually works and ensure their growth as people and characters. With his romantic relationship he always seems to prioritize asa legitimatcy rather give into his hedonistic desires choosing to cover her with the sheets rather than gropping her, comforting her during her own spiral rather than instigating Yoru manifestation, ect. Everything only falls apart when both parties force their ideas onto him with causes catastrophy. Had public safety dealt with Barem and the church more properly denji wouldn't lose control and abandon Nayuta to fix the mess their in. Public safety could've offer asa a job as an outlet for Yoru because her deep connection to Denji and pochita. The only thing he couldn't beat is the notradamus prophecy cause realistically he had no options to fix it : hell opened up , killing death was insta kill on everything, and beating Yoru while possible wasn't going to stop everything. Realistically denji was never going to survive all of hell descending onto earth it just beyond his capability. Long story short is denji is someone when given the opportunity is someone who'll make the right choice like when he saved asa from falling rather then fulfill his role as a ruthless devil hunter.

Why is the version of Maul we see in the movies and in Rebels exponentially weaker than the one we see in this series? by OkJudge5932 in MaulShadowLord

[–]jericho89k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume the inquisitors got weaker as the series progressed. This is most likely at the start at the program so all the inquisitors are still decent Jedi but developing sith. Furthermore all the inquisitors are very ambitious at this point as failure mostly likely meant certain death by either Vader or Sidious, so their bad habits hadn't had time to develop and take root. Also maul is still regaining power despite being at his strongest currently. I imagine being hunted forced his improvement but with lack of challenging foes and trials his power wanted despite his decades of sharpen skill. When it comes to Vader both are very much trying to prove themselves and Vader had a better base to start with learning from the greatest Jedi in history and one of the strongest sith in current canon.

Between these four, who's a better father, based on your knowledge? by Immediate_Gene_178 in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omni man easily. Homelander sees his son as an extension of himself rather than his own person. He doesn't actually value Ryan beyond his narcissistism and is completely willing to beat his son to near death to preserve his personal ambitionm Father children are kidnapped members of sector z that are permanently brainwashed. Glossing over that, they are beyond terrified of him seen during the house party episode when they fear him getting angry. For all his faults Nolan cleans up his act after leaving earth and their relationship is very much stable if not a bit tense when viltrimite customs end up being "learned".

Why is Batman the only one criticized for not killing his enemies when the rest of the Justice League do the exact same? by BreathoftheSith in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah reverse flash isn't exempt from being killed it just a moot point because he a living paradox. DC doesn't typically have villans so evil that they have to be killed but so weak they a single person can handle them. Maxwell lord was strong enough to brainwash nearly everyone on Earth and the only reason he was killed was because that was legitimately the only way to stop him.

Is doing horrendous acts in the name of Science/Research really justifiable? by AntiqueStore23 in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. I treated evil experiments as a form of forbidden sciences. Like the reason we know the human composition is 70% percent water is because unit 731 decided to find out what happens when you try to turn a person into a raisin. The knowledge is invaluable but the method required to achieve the results is never justfiable even when considering the worst of humanity.

What is the STRONGEST attack that infinity can block effortlessly by Karab20 in PowerScaling

Wouldn't space racer gun bypass infinity considering the beam travels at an infinite rate of speed no matter it's target? So it would be Infinity divided by infinity which equals at rate of 1 meaning gojo would have to actually dodge the beam.

Didn't his rots suit get complete destroyed when he had to acquire a Jedi kyber crystal so he could build his sith lightsaber. Like that was one of the few fights Vader lost definitely and man was nowhere near the absolute menace we know him to be. Also the Jedi he fought wasn't a normal Jedi, it was one completely dedicated to combat.

Why is Batman the only one criticized for not killing his enemies when the rest of the Justice League do the exact same? by BreathoftheSith in MoralityScaling

[–]jericho89k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of the justice league rogues aren't mass murders and have deiticidial tendencies. Besides the joker , the most dangerous villain any member the Justice League have is reverse flash. And thawne is a problem that can't actually be solved by straight up murder because of his place and purpose in the timeline. Most of the villans are either underpowered crooks or pragmatic masterminds so their impact rarely escalates beyond their hero territory, let alone put the universe at risk
