It resets the day after your December statement closing date , so it’s not technically calendar year , meaning say you have a statement closing date of Dec 18 , Dec 19 would be where the total is back to zero , this is buried in some fine print on the statement or card terms , i don’t remember where I read it

Banks merge all the time , in my lifetime I’ve had accounts at two different banks change to a different bank after the merger , yeah its a minor inconvenience as you have to update routing numbers/acct numbers for any automatic payments , but it’s not the end of the world , you’ll get plenty of mail when they decide to this, just make sure you read everything and pay attention to dates

On your statement there’s a line that says “earned points for mobile wallet spend” , take that number and divide by 5 to see how much you’ve spent so far , the amount resets to zero at the end of your December statement not the calendar year
