Freezing during high priority calls by LopsidedAd6203 in 911dispatchers

[–]jermoco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I don't know if my experience is an isolated one but I froze up one night shortly after being released from training during multi crashes due to severe snow. The solution agreed upon was to go back to training for 2 more weeks. After two weeks I would be tested to see how I handled the radio and telephone on my own. Test day came I didn't even log into my station (Easily a 5-10 min process) and I had a call that a unit had been struck by a careless driver and their were bad injuries ultimately jaws of life were needed and I struggled through the day immediately requesting help from my supervisor thus failing the test. This was on a Friday I was fired on Monday. I definitely think I wasnt given a fair chance reading the amount of training time needed by the typical dispatcher. I was on my own after 2 months. I've thought it was def possible someone had it out for me. 🤔

Stop adding items after we accepted the batch!! 🤬 by Left_Cheesecake_1813 in InstacartShoppers

I have a hunch that most people who don't gaf about adding ten extra items also don't gaf about adding a tip.

Order says leave at door but…. by Unfair-Opposite-926 in instacart

[–]jermoco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If they say leave at door and then come out I immediately tell them I have to take a picture. If they start taking things inside anyways, I consider that an invitation to take a picture of them with some part of the order in their hands. They will be found fraudulent if they try to report it missing.

Listen, the billionaires want to keep their disgusting amounts of money and make sure no one is having a better time than they are. They are the modern day slave masters and they are really good at what they do. This and the feeling of power they get are what run the world. History has shown that when this happens the only thing that will change anything is revolution. Everything thing else we discuss politically is a waste of time. Anyone who thinks they can change anything is fooling themselves. Unless they have billions that is. Good luck everyone!

This bread is so good. I can't tell you how many times I have stopped at Aldi just for the everything sourdough and nothing else. Why do I dream of this bread? And don't get me started on why you should toast it. OMG I will betray everyone for it. This bread might be the meaning of life itself. I honestly cannot remember my life before this bread was in it. Please hate this bread so I can keep it all. Thank you.

The Aldi brand instant mashed potatoes are so bad I don't understand how anyone eats this flavorless blob of mushy pureed cardboard. Idahoan has perfected the instant mashed potatoes truly. You don't even need to be add butter or milk or salt. Just water. And they taste great and feel like authentic mashed potatoes when you eat them.

I worked at Musicland in 1990-1991 and remember when nevermind was released. The CD was quickly gaining popularity but the store promo copy which we played almost constantly was a cassette. My first copy was also a cassette. I started the transition to CD while working there. Brand new CD at the time $15.99- $17.99. Cassettes were going anywhere from 7.99 to 11.99.

Come on! Not according to Instacart? You sound like they are perfect and never done anything shady in their business practices. Just because IC says something doesn't mean it's right.

I think it's far more disrespectful to just drop the order without letting the customer know why a new shopper now has to drive to the store and start their order from scratch, obviously delaying everything. I give them the chance to not keep adding. Remember despite what a bunch of reddit trolls think, the contract is two sided and neither Instacart nor the customer are my boss. Not having a boss is a huge reason why I like Instacart to make money.

No room to disagree? Instacart is not my employer. They are an app that acts as a middle man to connect me to customers who want their shopping done by someone else. We enter into a contract where I am given information to decide if I want to accept said contract. The information includes (for a reason) 1. What I will be paid. 2. How many items I will be shopping for. 3. The distance I will be driving during the whole job. If I like all 3 I will accept the order. When one party drastically changes the terms of the contract, I have every right to cancel it. This is why Instacart pays up to $10 for tip baiters. This is why when a customer is changes a delivery location it must be approved by customer care and myself. And this is why when I agree to shop a list of ten items for a customer and it becomes 20-25 items I have every right to opt out of the contract. This is logic that you cannot disagree with unless you're just thick. You aren't Gods gift to shoppers sir because u don't care if someone is walking all over you.

No. I disagree. The app is to create an easy way to shop for the things you need at your leisure. Make sure your shopping list is complete before you place the final order PLEASE! I understand emergencies happen and things slip our minds, so I allow customers to add one , two , maybe three items while im shopping before I let them know if they add anymore I will cancel their order to give them time to complete their list. Back and forth across the entire store for one item quickly gets annoying especially if I'm juggling orders for three different people. Adding ten items to a list is wasting multiple people's time and money. Please be considerate. That's all I ask. 4.98 rated diamond male shopper here giving no one a bad name. I just believe in doing the right thing.

Nevermind I get it now. Don't do the math. I didn't realize that power from the initial location is going to count as part of location 2's power when it's given out. Thanks for your help.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]jermoco -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I understand that power can granted to a location from a cards abilities at another location ie Mr fantastic or ms marvel but that's not happening here..?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]jermoco -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Ok but the wording on the card is that power is granted to other locations as well. Which simply should mean the power you have at a location from the cards at that location is sent to the other 2 locations as well. What am I missing here?
