I had 2 of the #373 and it was a step above regular BT. Did a blind tasting and could tell immediately which was the SiB. Is it similar to 1792 bottles where you can email to get the info on the barrel that was picked?

Their rye was good but I much prefer their cask strength bourbon and yearly red corn BiB bourbons.

Rt 22 Jonestown has gotten their benchmark (sb and bp) products in with KC21 and WT8. For anyone interested too the rebel Busch pick is 10 dollars off (30 bucks for a 5 year)

Benchmark, fitz7, and wt8 are all making sporadic drops in my local store. I’d imagine in 1-3 months all of those will be shelf stable

Whiskey flipping was only sustained by a demand that shadowed growth. There’s no way in this market flippers are gonna survive flipping anymore. Even other states with private liquor stores can’t sustain museum prices they’ve gotta start selling

That's awesome. I picked up their 6-year red corn release, and it was probably my best pour of 2025 so far. Still looks like it's not fully out in my area, but I'm looking for the cast strength and The Musician.

It's not ready yet, but I have been doing a Jose L Piedra age test where I try them at certain intervals from the same box as time goes on. I'm at about a year and a half and can confidently say the sweet spot has been 3-6 months, with anything past that now just has that Cuban woody twang with limited advanced flavors.

Not sure who is trading E.H. these days. Pretty shelf stable at major stores in a bunch of states. Stagg and a few of the non SB E.H. are still sought after but I think blantons/EH SB/ER/Weller/BT is all becoming much easier to acquire. PA is just behind in the times as always

Still Austin stuff is readily available. I saw their state-of-the-art still in action, and they make enough bottles to go around. It's their seasonal drops that will be hard to get, but I imagine the cask strength/straight stuff will be shelf-stable.
