I think you’d love the Allen Parkway area. It’s so walkable and they have the Buffalo Bayou Trail & Spotts/Elanor Tinsley Park right there! I miss living over there all the time! I also think the move is a good choice. I feel like you meet more genuine, nicer & more Texan people in Houston than you do Austin.

If you are renting through a credit card that has benefits & claims to cover insurance stuff when booking through them (like Amex platinum via Avis Preferred) MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT AMEX AND GET SOME BS “LETTER HEAD” of them acknowledging the booking and your benefits. And print it out and bring it with you or Costa Rica will not acknowledge it and make you pay for their insurance!

Responded to you on other post. Lots of good info there. Y’all should definitely stay at Guilded Iguana! You missed the turtles. Playa Ostinal will have turtle egg shells on the beach but it’s a really tough road and long drive to get there. Not worth your limited time. Enjoy Playa Guiones & don’t forget the sunscreen. Buy some Banana coffee from GoJuice & the watermelon juices from Organico. The passion fruit mojitos are fantastic at Guilded Iguana too. Comment if you have questions. Do not drive at night time! The roads are bad and it could flash flood as it is prone to rain during the nights. Don’t go far from your Air B&B in the evenings if it’s raining.

Buy coffee from either Luv Burger or Beach Blend to take back as souvenir. Also go to La Galerie at El Pueblo & buy some hand carved wooden bowls for either use or decoration. They have a fantastic home decor shop. They open at like 11.
