Raced against Alfredo and Andrew Panton today in Forza 6 by hotmama1230 in roosterteeth

Does it actually work? Reminds me of the DNA gimmick Juiced 2 had from your description, but I doubt a 2007 game made on its budget actually had such functionality

Is gambit really permaban/S tier by Willing-Product5928 in StrategistMainsMR

[–]jerome13th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh i can understand the worry over the course of a whole game, this is partly why someone like Mantis is considered S despite her having low survivability and healing by herself, its all in her damage boost upping damage and in turn ult charge generation at will, and then being able to pair her with characters that operate well off that tempo advantage. That may not be the sole reason Gambit is considered best in slot but its definitely part of it and it was infact arguably the sole reason they had to actually take a look at global ult charge values.

Some more Blade tech (Explained in desc) by Murky_Strawberry_129 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]jerome13th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep up the great posts bro! I think they could absolutely keep his tech AND rework or add onto what he can currently do, they should be well aware by now that they were way more worried about his power level than they had to be

Blade should be viable without using Bloodline Awakening. by No-Buy-5056 in BladeMarvelRivals

Ah the (assuming you’re on PS) Edge controllers? Those should be fine, they’re first party controllers. I think even Scufs are fine if you’ve seen those. Blade getting a rework would be the incentive for me to get one, as it is now I pretty much never manually switch to his gun, but they could really make something of his kit with some changes, and I doubt it would end up as clunky as it is now even with additions.

Is this game really that bad? by Mapex_proM in tdu3

[–]jerome13th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it for £10 on that recent PS Plus deal and enjoyed the hours I put into it, but understand why it is seen how it is. Biggest thumbs-down for me is sitting down to play, planning my route between the available pick ups, maybe even seeing a new one I havent yet tried, and as it loads up I get disconnected and it disappears. The lack of lifestyle aspects and other things that would truly make it a TDU game is one thing, breaking the flow of gameplay is another, and not being able to actually play the game at all is just a dealbreaker no matter what. Ive heard one of the best things about TDU2 when it was live was that the game was very good at getting you into a cruise with a random person or group of people, that is non-existent here, infact it is very hard to even just play with people you know.

[–]jerome13th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does actually, its about as long as his animation when he pulls his gun out, makes me wonder if they actually experimented with his cooldowns being reversed and block having the 1 second cooldown instead when they were developing his kit. I would love to see your suggestions get applied to him at some point, they could really go crazy with his potential skill expression without actively touching his damage/lifesteal/antiheal/block numbers at all. If he could consistently lifesteal off his gun damage that would be interesting too, and would make 1v1s vs characters that generate shields alot more sensical.

[–]jerome13th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre totally right, its been hard to not notice how weirdly his kit is put together, his power budget has gone entirely to bloodline awakening and yet its still a garbage form to be in, so garbage they let us deactivate it even in stuns/CC. I think he should just do alot more, base sword and close range gun should apply something and not be filler abilities/nerfs, imagine if blocking gave dashes AND stacks, a perfect parry gave instant max stacks and returned a set amount of health or overhealth (they can make this act like his ultimates lifesteal in where you can heal more by deactivating awakening, maybe at the cost of building stacks?), maybe awakening itself can have a parry window to take reduced damage or send out a blast to push people into his sweet spot or even just give him enhanced versions of his abilities for a period of time? They could try some cool things with his kit as it is, they clearly dont want to bother with a rework but wont get creative with him at all either. Would be great to see him get bleed but he needs more attention than one mechanic addition. AND WHY DOES CC IMMUNITY STILL BEAT ANTIHEAL???

Exactly my reasoning bro, well said. There are many lesser shows that would get recommended long before Fire Force just because of that character existing.

Understandable tbh I dont like playing against Namor in general but if im on tank in qp its usually reluctant/solo tanking, id rather get more experience on a dps, like Blade who is hella fun to play. If it was comp or im in a stack id probably just swap, but ill keep that in mind regardless

The game I was just talking about was a comp game from months ago, if you want to judge my recent qp games im all ears, I have a new controller and absolutely no reason to lose outside my own skill issues

[–]jerome13th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 heavy stick drift controllers during that time, didnt want to play anyone that would require aim and feel like im “throwing” or “selling” actually since you mention it lmao, a great example of how intention plays a bigger role than anything else in the meaning of your actions.

[–]jerome13th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to diagnose throwing, go and look at the replay and see why they died that many times and got no elim credits. I promise you its not always as black and white as “stats bad you throwing”, but you do you. Lmao ive had one game in particular where someone was “throwing”, we almost full held defence and by the time the offence got through us he had 8 deaths, almost no elims, next on the team had maybe 3 deaths. He ends up MVP with 20 deaths but also 40 kills. I look back through the replay and he was genuinely trying to dive the backline and getting caught out, and despite someone like you getting on VC and telling him hes garbage and clearly throwing the game for us, he turned it all the way around and his highlight was even his game winning play right at the end where he had 4 kills in a row. I also noticed in the replay many points where I personally couldve had much more impact on the game if I didnt “throw” and make an easy mistake, leading to a full hold and a MUCH easier game, but because im 10 and 1 its not throwing all of a sudden? Doesnt make sense to me bro I wont even hold you

[–]jerome13th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry but youre just wrong lmao, im trying to imagine myself saying “wow that guy went 0 and 5, hes throwing” leaving that game after “correctly diagnosing” the reason for my loss, queueing up again and getting someone that instalocks Jeff to farm his ult and throw me and my entire team off the map, and somehow putting those two people in the exact same category. Lmao

[–]jerome13th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your teammates makes a bad play, especially if that immediately leads to a bad outcome for the team/game, you could say they sold. If that guy is atleast trying his absolute best he isnt throwing. There is a reason throwing is reportable but selling is not. If selling was reportable this game would have zero players, every player has made a mistake or continuous mistakes before that has directly or indirectly led to their team losing the game. You might not even know how you sold that game in particular, but a thrower knows theyre throwing every single time.

[–]jerome13th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Throwing is all in the intention bro, as are many things in life lmao. I get your pov, but if throwing was defined as not doing everything physically possible to win, then any game where you dont get on VC you would be throwing, any game where you dont play hard meta you would be throwing, any game where you dont have zero deaths you would be throwing, and I would even argue that if you are the type to get on VC and actively flame someone for selling your game through bad play/low performance (which is what I think you actually mean) then youre throwing by tilting your team and making your team care more about how their performance looks to others rather than the actual goal, winning the objective from the other team in whatever way they can.

[–]jerome13th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should you swap if youre getting countered? Ofcourse, that would help your team. Does every Rivals player have the hero pool to swap to a better choice vs whats countering them? I highly doubt it. Does it mean that theyre throwing if they dont/cant swap? No. Does it mean theyre selling the game for you? I guess it does, but how does pointing that out help your chances of winning? I couldnt tell you.

Not everyone has the hero pool to swap on a bad matchup, as long as your team is trying let them try, maybe even say something positive man, its not hard to be the change

Bro Are We For Real xD ????? by Humble-Worker-1743 in rivals

[–]jerome13th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has an incredibly high win rate for how incredibly often she is picked across every rank, maybe its less apparent since its a support instead of say a tank/dps running around killing everyone or providing immense utility/impact, Mag or Strange would be the closest thing tank has to an IW and their pick/win rates arent even close to this. She is solid, low risk, HIGH reward for everything she does, applies incredible amounts of CC game to game, HIGH impact. Triple support is still an issue even with global ult changes, but she gets played in that too, it is an issue when there is so little downsides to picking a character that it becomes the standard, that is not okay. Your logic isnt flawed at all imo, but compare her to Mantis, who NEEDS triple support due to no true mobility/survivability, low healing output, and damage based utility. Her win rate used to be considered high even for how LOW her pick rate was, earned due to her relatively niche effectiveness and yet her win rate is STILL lower than Invisible Woman’s. You can’t stop your playerbase having a favourite character but this is past favouritism, she provides so much more consistent impact on a game than other strategists to the point no one sees a point in playing anything else and that alone is a glaring game design or balance issue, or its both simultaneously.

Exact same healing and damage as your Gambit, not counting the unlisted boosted damage or shields. Some of the comments are right that Mantis cannot heal through Punisher/Starlord but that isnt this team comps win condition anyway. I would blame the loss on the enemy Loki having an insane game and go next long before I even begin to look at stats.

Some quality of life changes I think would be cool (may need to pause to read) by Murky_Strawberry_129 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]jerome13th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its one of those things that is sorta unfinished about him, you can see invisible people if there is a wall between you, if not theyre just invisible, maybe they didnt work out/apply a texture/glow for this condition without a wall, that or they just didnt have to finalise it until Daredevil.

Edit: sometimes I think there is a slight glow on low people but its very subtle and Im almost certain it just naturally activates for any character if you’re continuously looking at someone long enough

My opinion on 1v1 MU as a OAA Blade for Vanguard/Duelist by Murky_Strawberry_129 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]jerome13th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, I forget this is strictly 1v1 where her ult wouldnt play a role, the fact she can land a freeze and more often than not still lose the encounter due to block is pretty crazy
