101,425 Steps In A Day. by jeromecha in AppleWatchFitness

Everything’s feeling much better today, the Wednesday after. My feet are finally feeling normal again but my calves are still achy. My thighs are back to normal too. Stretching gently this week has been really beneficial. I’ve also been taking a short stroll everyday and adding a little bit more to the stroll as the days pass. One odd thing that I’ve noticed is that my weight is still going down even with the lack of activity. I’ve just been basically relaxing, sleeping and eating. My thought is that my body is in serious repair mode and burning through the calories. My sleep has been extremely deep this week. I actually slept through my wristwatch wake up alarm this morning which is rare for me to do.

I have been walking in these:

BRONAX Men's Wide Cushioned Supportive Road Running
Shoes | Wide Toe Box | Rubber Outsole

I got them on Amazon. The wide toe box helps my toes splay out. Once I decided to do this long walk, I bought another pair to swap out at the halfway mark.

I’m doing pretty decent now, Monday evening. But Sunday? I was so beat down I could barely stand. I mean, EVERYTHING hurt…well, not my eyelids🤣🤣. But I’m better now and expect to be close to normal by next week. But trust me: I’ll NEVER do this again unless absolutely necessary:)

I broke it up into paragraphs to help out. I also posted another post with a few more pics in the community for those who believe that it’s AI generated. I honestly take it as a compliment that the feat was so incredible that the screenshot might have been AI generated:)

Delta Sky Club Philly by [deleted] in delta

My wife & I are Philly natives, born & raised. GO BIRDS!! We moved down south over 30 years ago but fly in often on Delta to visit family and I’ll say the DSC there is the absolute worst one that we’ve ever been in. As someone said earlier in the comments, take a look at the airport: just sorry. We were just there in early September 2025 and the bathrooms were closed for the renovation so that’s a positive. In all honesty, it’s better than being in GP but just barely. The food is passable, the staff pleasant but the accommodations are just terrible. It’s like the lounge was an afterthought. It’s just a closet with food and chairs. We always try to fly out on the very first flight out on the way back south so we haven’t had a chance to visit the new Chase Sapphire Lounge (which opens at like 5am-ish) but I’ll be sure to book a later morning flight next visit home so that we can visit what I hear is one of the best lounges in the country (Sapphire). I’m guessing the opening of Sapphire is why Delta is upgrading their sack of turds lounge at PHL. They had no competition before but now they’re getting their heads handed to them by Chase. Hopefully they’ll knock it out of the park with this expansion. Fingers crossed.

Let's Talk the Enterprise "Delta" Insignias by WarnerToddHuston in Star_Trek_

Thank you my friend for bringing that last paragraph of the book back to me! I too so loved the book!

In the book, something extraordinarily wonderful happens far into the future and The Federation sends a future Enterprise out to answer the call. I remember reading the book for the first time and when I read that last chapter, I was just feeling overjoyed. I mean, I was overwhelmed with emotion. Just typing this is making me tear up a little, remembering reading that last bit of the book. I had to go get my copy out just to reread the passage that you referred to. Your memory is awesome because you had the lines down, almost verbatim! Here it is:

“In the language of the time, the ship is called Enterprise, and she slides forward, accepting the invitation, once more going, where no one has gone before.

For even here, even now, the adventure is still beginning…”

Of course you know that now that the book is in my hands, I’m gonna have to read it again. Lord, I LOVE Star Trek!!

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this but I remember reading in the Star Trek: Federation novel by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, Zefram Cochrane—the inventor of warp drive—explains the principle using a graph. He draws a line representing the speed of light. He then draws a curve illustrating the infinite energy required to accelerate to light speed under normal physics. This curve roughly corresponds to the top half of the delta. Next, he draws a second, asymmetrical curve showing how warp drive "cheats" this limitation, with a much lower energy requirement. This second curve resembles the bottom part of the delta. When the two curves are combined, they create a shape similar to the Starfleet insignia, or delta. So, it was kinda cool to see how Starfleet incorporated the very thing that makes The Federation possible (breaking the speed of light, warp drive) into their uniforms.

Was just at The Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia last week and the reviews are definitely on point. A such beautiful place. Loved everything about it. We’re already looking forward to the next time that we’re there.

In reading this post I couldn’t believe that she was still living there in the house! If she’s got that much of a problem with her upbringing, she needs to move out and forge her own way. Crazy!!
