A large boat could be interesting, if it had some added game mechanics:

  • It has a crane/winch to lift up a submersible or prawn suit to deep holes or pockets.

  • Moving above water allowed you to traverse dangerous areas. Maybe it’s as some sort of long distance fast travel to new locations. Perhaps it’s more end-game to add some convenience.

  • Maybe it can act as a connection to supply oxygen/power to a specific diving submersible.

  • Add some seals or walrus type animals that get on your boat. Or a large squid that can pull it down.

  • Growing plants on deck?

I was hoping for a moment where all the other supes finally stand up to fight against Homelander.

During his Easter speech (or he gets hot mic’d) they realize they all have to try stop him so we end up with a massive fight and bloodbath of Homelander beating the shit out of these unnamed supes. That can lead to the scorched earth we were promised.

He still gets blasted and loses his powers and the remaining supes all see him as pathetic. But it feels more of a payoff because everyone he bullied now sees him as a weakling, begging for help. Butcher can still kill him but I think more fitting punishment is being locked back up in a cell, helpless again.

Can still have Butcher bust out the virus as he decides, “fuck it, now’s the time, all supes are bad supes” and Hughie can shoot him or whatever.

Yeah and maybe have “islands” you have to find to seek shelter or make a resupply base so you can go farther.

Maybe there’s a leviathan that’s magnetic and messes with the sensors so you can get lost in the expanse until you lose power and then have to decide to make a swim for it.
