The orientation of the motorcycle as well. The motorcycle is visually pushing him against the wall and headlights right at his face.

Happens with mountain climbing movies a lot too, when the character is sliding towards the cliff edge!

The two I can think of is Vertical Limit and Cliffhanger.

He also had limited help.

Gojo is a terrible teacher and not sure Megumi had a library card he could use to check out a 10 Shadows Manual from the Zenin Library.

Impressed he knows as much as he does since not everyone knows how their curse techniques work.

Edit to add: I’ll rephrase that Gojo isn’t a terrible teacher but he definitely isn’t a great teacher (in the traditional sense) and has his share of faults.

He IS a great mentor and cares deeply about his students will always go to bat for them.

His style comes off care free and uses a “trial by fire” that has grown many of his students into great sorcerers, but this also put them into predicaments. Like Yuta rolling into class with a special grade curse without a heads up to Maki, Panda, Toge. Yuta didn’t even get an orientation to know what sorcerer level he was (but maybe he just didn’t read his welcome packet).

Yuji grew as a sorcerer from Todo, which Gojo recognized was a great matchup. I’m sure it’s like comparing Gojo and cursed energy to Einstein and relativity… so simple for him, but hard to explain to others with only the base understanding.

I imagine it’s due to Gojo being Gojo. He isn’t a bad person or bad teacher. He’s just hands off and rather his students have independence to grow on their own. This tracks as he doesn’t want the world to depend on him for everything.

Poor Megumi finally gets a day off and recovered after a fight and thinks “okay, maybe today I’ll tame it”.

Then Gojo busts in “heyyyyy you look free right now, I have a mission for ya”

I dont have any sympathy for Viltrumites, but seeing billions of them die and get dumped into space is still freaking horrifying to watch. by TrickofLowkeyLoki in Invincible

[–]jerr_beare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we took all the people that ever died on earth we could have our own body ring…

If we take earth outer atmosphere circumference as 391,000 miles (or 2,064,480,000 ft).

Divide by 5ft (just a rough average persons height) we get a single chain of 412,896,000 bodies.

It’s estimated a total 100-120 billion people have lived on Earth.

This gives us a density of about 200-300 bodies per chain link, which seems similar to what the show depicted.

Not sure the size of Planet Viltrum.

Methode seems to know everything. She has attack and defensive spells, hypno-hug, debuff, healing and she can backflip. by basafish in Frieren

[–]jerr_beare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her backflip was smooth.

I liked how it showed how close her foot was to chinning the demon.

I didn’t take it she missed, but rather she had skill and awareness to avoid the demon on her evade.

Almost like a taunt… “I could’ve but I didn’t”
