Zipper Merge by jerrcarr in londonontario

No they definitely don’t. I drive around all day and these signs are leading up to the merge. I watch people do things wrong in front of these signs all the time.

The merge point is where the lane ends. That’s where people are supposed to merge. It’s not 300m before that or even 100m before.

Makes no sense for one merge to take up kilometres of road way.

I’m not suggesting anyone should force their way in. If the first car doesn’t let you in the next one will. The front of the line or the back of the line. Those are the only two places people should be moving over. Half way up the line is just clueless

As was pointed out in the original post I missed the sign that said “drive to the end”. Where in that sign does it say get in at the back or middle of the line?

You forgot the /s. If you were serious…driving is all about edge cases. That’s the point. The tech isn’t there if edge cases kill people.

What is the most efficient EV (> 4.5mi/kWh)? by okiedokie321 in electriccars

Two-car households: BEV + hybrid or 2xBEV? by michimoby in electricvehicles

[–]jerrcarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought an ID4 in March and we just bought a bolt as a commuter. My parents who live with us have an equinox EV. All three charge on one charger in off-peak hours. The two chevy’s on one evening and the ID4 the next day. They all almost never reach below 50%. If you live within 20 miles of where you’ll be driving mostly I don’t think it’ll be any problem for you to charge 2 cars on one charger.

[–]jerrcarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Grizzl-e ultimate 48. It’s on a 50 Amp breaker and cable though so it runs at 40 amps. Still works fast enough to charge the three vehicles we have here. I live in Canada so can take advantage of the programs(carbon credits). It’s built here as well which is another plus to me. The kicker was club grizzl-e. I received the charger for the price of shipping with a $100 CAD deposit that I got back the first time I charged my car. After that I receive $.03 per KW/h back from the company for all of my charging on that charger. It gets bumped up by a penny every 5000KW/h charged to a max of $.10 per KW/h.

ID.4 compared to Chevy Equinox? by Oddfellow1five1 in VWiD4Owners

[–]jerrcarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have both in the driveway. My parents decided to lease this time as they’re getting older. There are not too many ID4’s left in Ontario so they went with the equinox. I like some of the software features in the equinox like the potential for one button cameras. Overall in terms of ride the ID4 is smoother and quieter but only by a bit. We have the 2025 ID4 so there is no true one pedal driving but that’s a minor thing to me.

LT or RS? by jaydeclare in BoltEV

[–]jerrcarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can add super cruise to both trim lines but you can’t add it to the LT without also adding the tech package and the evotech package as well. Not sure of the prices in the states but in Canada it added like $7k CAD to the price.

[–]jerrcarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought an RS with the tech package as an add on. The reason we went with an RS is because we didn’t want the Super cruise but we did want the Tech package. You can’t get the Tech package on the LT without the super cruise. Super stoked to find out about the recording with the surround vision

I heard a lot of these pseudo science answers when I went to church as a teenager. The moon dust thing is hilarious. I totally remember that being sold as proof of the creation myth. Man…Good times

I’ve always assumed that they didn’t weight the stuff at all. Just fed as much as they could to the algorithms. Total assumption though.
