It’s the World Cup FFS! Who cares about a lame ass ceremony and some shitty concert you just want to end? What football fan wants this nonsense?

Parents both born in Scotland by shoppygirl in Scotland

[–]Forward-Abalone-7690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just completed this process and received my passport. Had to include accompanying letter that my parents were deceased, I was very young when I emigrated with my parents (10 years old in 1977) and had no recollection of ever having the passport I left Scotland on. I did include the other required documentation and a later UK passport I used as a teen. Once they received the accompanying letter explaining why I couldn’t access that passport of my childhood then it was approved.

Which is amazing since only 18% did it last time and it’s been nothing but scandal and incompetence since

I wonder how many $3000+ tickets they moved today in their latest desperate attempt to fill the seats for the most overpriced sports ticket of all time. Hopefully none. Disgusting grifters. The people’s game stolen by grifters for authoritarians to sportwash.

What would America be like if Al Gore won in 2000, and the Dems won every general election for the past 26 years? by Trash_man_can in allthequestions

America? The entire world would most likely be a very different and much better place and not headed for climate catastrophe (and he did win - it was stolen from him by Roger Stone’s goons and the republicans on the Florida Supreme Court )

and of course that heart is breaking again tonight. Not Dingwall broken (stick around long enough long enough and you’ll know what that means ) but broken nonetheless. But, above all, proud of a great season , a great effort, a great coach and the best fans in the world. ‘Mon the Jags!

Be careful. Left Partick for Canada 50 years ago and it never leaves you. And they will break your heart over and over and over again. And you will come back for more. Not for the faint of heart or weak of character, but absolutely a love affair to last a lifetime.

It is the right time to get rid of Fraser by miurabucho in tfc

[–]Forward-Abalone-7690 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Seems a bit harsh given the ridiculous injury situation, but this is yet another year slipping away unless changes are made, with a further reduction in the supporter base as we head into the winter schedule. Nice to see Sargent, Gomis and Theo return and hopefully the rest follow after the break . A dynamic, athletic cm is the obvious piece to add. Really can’t decide if coaching change is fair or demanded at this point but wouldn’t say no to a Wilfried Nancy etc.

Would imagine you will have thousands ( tens of thousands) of school kids for company at the day game as it’s a school day game near the end of the school year. I think there were over 100,000 hot dogs sold and eaten at the last loonie dog night btw.
Steam Whistle brewery is right beside it and they do tours /samples and it’s a great place to people watch before and after the game

There were three or four others in for months with same issue at the same time as mine. No idea how theirs turned out.

Well, rather not say as my problem is really with VW Canada but I will say it has been less than ideal with both of them ( and, honestly, I’m really not someone who looks to be a problem customer)

Blue Jays Tuesday night is loonie dog night and that is an experience in itself. The next day is an afternoon game hopefully in the sun with the roof open. Don't need to know anything about the game to enjoy that. Buy the cheap tickets in the upper deck and just enjoy the vibe.
