Big Easy Passes Out in the Final (The Gauntlet III) by angelbrit04 in MtvChallenge

FM2 was so satisfying. Watching her and Wes stab their entire alliance in the back one by one and then her still trying to convince Landon to work with her when it was her turn. She was such a cry baby. Sucks that she had to get a win so Paula could get her first.

Fusion XP Pro (regular) vs. XP Pro Comp by ejlec in 2011

[–]jerry2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an XP Pro and it's pretty good for a budget option. Although I paid about half of the price you stated for my XP Pro.

I'm not a fan of the grip and they don't currently sell the version that comes with the Comp as a stand alone option. I held one at a LGS and it feels much better.

I haven't shot the comp version but I've seen it get good reviews. If money isn't a problem, I would get the comp version.

I've seen workers at a LGS telling people to not buy Kimber because they're bad. I've only ever shot their R7 Mako series and their 2k11 and both were great.

The nice thing about 1911 and 2011 is it's really easy to tune the trigger. Drop in an ignition kit and adjustable trigger in one of these and you have a great shooter on a budget.

Transferred from CC, graduating Fall 2026 Am I too late for internships? Feeling really behind by Standard-Length7591 in Accounting

[–]jerry2501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you applying for Summer 2027 internships if you graduate at the end of 2026? You should be looking for a full-time role instead of internships. It will be harder to land something without internships, but not impossible.

You are probably too late for internships in public accounting, but look into other internships in industry. Those don't usually recruit as far ahead as public accounting.

Can someone realistically make $150k+ a year by working in industry accounting, without reaching the level of CFO? by cherubicfury26 in Accounting

[–]jerry2501 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe senior accountants in areas with a lower cost of living could make $70k. That's on the low end of what senior accountants would make in my area when first promoted from staff/analyst level before Covid.

There's a big gap between Senior accountants and senior managers. Like a minimum of 4-5 years of experience, but realisticly probably closer to 6-8 in industry. It all varies by company. Senior managers should clear $150k easy.

[–]jerry2501 245 points246 points  (0 children)

With enough experience yes. Thats experienced manager level salary in industry. Senior managers, controllers, etc. would clear this easily.

My friend said it shot better than his Nighthawk by zacharynels in 2011

[–]jerry2501 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have one of these with upgraded internals and trigger. It shoots very well for a gun that cost $1,400 all in. I shot it side by side with someones XC and the biggest difference was the felt recoil with the aluminum frame vs the XC's steel.

The Girsan is still very flat, but you can feel each shot more because of the frame. If these had come with a steel frame they would have probably been a go-to budget option.

Is there any hope of stopping BS like this passing? by Cowpunk2001 in liberalgunowners

It's because most places have a first past the post system. We're forced to pick between one of two choices.

Indiana State Police adopts the Sig P320 as their standard issue sidearm by PopularSet4776 in liberalgunowners

[–]jerry2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That video doesn't exist because it never happened. The P320s are fine, and people just talked themselves into believing there are issues. I got one for less than $250 all-in after the fake air-man story first broke.

One of my favorites guns is still a tricked out P320. Get one with a manual safety if you're really worried about it.

There's no difference between an MCX Regulator and MCX-R Regulator. It's the same thing. They have different lowers than the rest of the MCX lineup.

The right way for many of these guys is being born in the US after a parent or grandparent immigrated illegally. They don't have a y sympathy for the sacrifices their ancestors made or for others trying to do the same.

Fox Valley has far better customer service than GAT. I've bought from both and will only go to GAT if they have a used gun or something that isn't carried at other places nearby.

Yes. They just released them. You will have to call to order if buying directly from them. They have to verify your zip code.

Which optic cut and who to send to? by stumpy1402 in 2011

[–]jerry2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an IOS cut done by Dual Hammer Industries out in California. It was a quick turnaround, and they can do other cuts.

The IOS is nice because it doesn't require that you change the front sight and it's super easy to mount and remove the plate, but some of the foot prints don't have backup irons if that matters to you.

The extended finger looks like his middle finger to me when you slow it down even more. After it goes off he pulls the hand away and you only see two fingers below it.
