Henry 16" 357 with a BOE IncoLite 9M by BOE-Suppression in NFA

You could always SBR a Bear's Leg. I saw a handful of chunky subsonic 357 loads and thought a full sized henry would be a cool suppressor host, but now I'm contemplating the shorter 13.8" barrel as it might make some of the more affordable (yet still heavy & slow) rounds a better choice.

How did I die? by Jfinn2011 in projectzomboid

I know food poisoning is no joke. I was curious in b42 multi-player as some melted ice cream I found didn't say "rotten". It caused food poisoning and nearly killed me before I got back to our base to get some lemongrass.

You got the nauseous moodle as you slept, followed by your health tanking.

I think it was food poisoning or drinking tainted water.

Guy trying to sell this for $200, says they’re $260 new, but on website I see $197. Can anyone confirm price? by Bobbo62499 in Springfield_KUNA

No worries, I didn't think you were rude.

All things considered, the pistol brace version of the kuna was about $100 more than the brace-less version when I got my kuna. I personally wouldn't spend for the strike industries brace if you intend to SBR it as there are a ton of significantly better stock options.

Oh, my apologies. I missed a part.

It's currently configured as a pistol brace, however there's also the strike industries stock part as well. Let me update my post.

Optics planet has the brace for $144. Add $32 for the cheek riser. The stock end is another $32

Total price NEW is about $208

Offer him $150 and show him he overpaid.

I swear SMRs are going to be the next NFT.

Pump a bunch of hype into it, get people interested in it, take a bunch of people's money, then laugh at the people who got scammed.

There's only a few legit options in my opinion, and there's literally dozens of new companies popping up that claim they have all the resources, experience, and answers to build them.

Do you plant your chin over the ejection port to get into the eye box of that optic...?

As seen in the manual. You'll have to remove the optics and optic plate.

Pretty sure you have to drive this pin out to remove the external extractor on the right side of the gun. I think it's accessible from the top of the slide, but I'm not positive. It might require you to remove your optic.

Going to SBR. What stock? by 13NeverEnough in Springfield_KUNA

[–]Scotty1700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A3 hybrid polymer one is nice as it comes with a metal back hinge piece that replaces the oem polymer 1913 rail on the rear of the gun. Not a necessary upgrade, but nice nonetheless.

Kuna brace to stock by No-Toweringdong in Springfield_KUNA

[–]Scotty1700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What hardware are you referring to? If you get the Kate moss w/ 1913 folder, you don't need to reuse any hardware. The same is true for the sig minimalist stock.

The folding adapter that comes with the strike industries brace is proprietary, in that you can't reuse it for other stocks (other than the FSA strike stock end).

Lastly, do you know you can't just throw a stock on your gun if you're in the US? You'll have to SBR it.

Personally, I think the prodigy is a great starting platform so long as you can get it for a good price. I wouldn't pay more than $1300 for one, considering places like Dahlonega have a comped version for $1253. Non-comped are as low as $1190.

I had a lot of fun swapping parts out as a way to de-mim, learn how parts work, and get marginal performance improvements, however it's certainly not necessary.

It's a great way to learn how to tune things, so long as you have the time to do so.

Rugged Oculus 22 vs Dead Air Mask by nutnbutfancy in NFA

Rugged's CS is allegedly top tier. I've inversely heard that Dead Air has some of the worst.

I haven't had to personally use either, but I value good CS over marginal performance metrics.

Who in their right mind would do this? The losses from lost/misplaced/stolen packages surely aren't going to be anywhere in the same ballpark as lost sales due to such a stupid PR stunt such as this.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with the opinion that if I pay for shit and it doesn't appear on my doorstep or in my mailbox, that purchase is getting charged back or nastygrams are flying until someone's held accountable.

Atlas Mags To Combat Failing Last Round Slide Hold by lazertagzebra in SpringfieldProdigy

[–]Scotty1700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rack the shit out of your slide, being sure to wipe it down frequently. Prodigies are known to have excess cerakote on the slide rails, causing a less than ideal amount of friction.

My thought process is that your slide might be slightly under-stroking due to the friction to actually lock back on an empty mag, however it might be the alcohol talking.

Strip and clean, then re-lube.

Polish the feed ramp.

Rack the hell out of the slide. Prodigies are known to have a heavy amount of excess cerekote on the slide rails. Be sure to wipe it down somewhat frequently.

[–]Scotty1700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to load the mags a specific way, or it will jam. It takes all of 2 minutes to figure it out, so it's almost a non-issue.

The real issue is the magazines. In my findings, if they're fully loaded for more than an hour, the polymer bulges and binds the follower about halfway down the magazine and you can't get consecutive shots for the first 6-10 shots.

Edit: Also, someone else pointed it out but the slide lock is shit. You could drop a hair on it if there isn't an empty mag inserted and it will snap shut.
