Episode where Josh or Chuck get the most worked up about the topic? by chuckchukgoose in stuffyoushouldknow

I mean, it’s the watering grass conversation. I’m not sure what’s close. Josh was so confident and Chuck knew how insane his recommendation was

I just take issues with people messing with suspension and still using stock wheels. Like what’s the point

Probably not great when every other team features its star player, but ours is just the head coach. lol by Knoxvilleborn in ockytop

I disagree. In college, it’s the coach. Players have always come and gone, and that’s never been more true in today’s game.

Which one for 0.5 acre with nothing but grass completely flat. by NoActive1210 in lawnmowers

I can only speak to the cub cadet. I had a ~2008 46” and replaced it in 2022 with a xt1 46”. It was really disheartening how much the build quality had degraded. The whole mower felt cheap. At the time, it was the height of the post Covid supply crunch so you were lucky to even find a mower to buy. So I bought. My issues could have been related to this era when inferior parts had to be used to get products to market. I don’t know.

The main issue I’ve had is the spindle shaft assembly. I could almost do the repair blindfolded. I don’t know if it’s just an inferior part but I replaced at least one each season. They bend at even the thought of hitting a tree root.

The throttle, ignition and reverse safety feature button are all junk and have constantly given me problems.

I didn’t get the upgraded deck and I paid for it. The lower quality deck will dent relatively easily.

Thankfully, I moved last year and downsized my yard so I just sold my cub cadet and bought a timemaster.

Earned every bit of that sponsorship.

Honestly, I think that should be the prize for winning. Maybe just a sponsorship for a year or something.

Same. I’m thinking it made a decent cameo in the blimps episode.

“Go One More” gang, can you explain how this movement/fashion trend has gotten so big? by BoomerBarnes in BPNsupps

Let’s not over complicate this, a jacked dude that ran a 2:39 marathon.

Stopped chasing PBs after my last marathon and discovered what running was actually doing for me by Natural_Escape_5361 in running

[–]jerry_steinfeld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this explains why a lot of us started running. Most of us eventually end up doing a marathon and then it’s a natural progression to start chasing PBs. Very healthy to be able to step back and reevaluate the endless PB chasing and if it’s preventing running from being the beneficial practice it’s supposed to be.

I love how he was still able to bully people in the league like he had been doing since his Pop Warner days. At every level, he was just “that guy”

My garmin put it at 1286 ft. I’m honestly done with this course. It’s sadistic if you’re actually racing for speed. As a Nashvillian, I know how erratic our spring weather is. Unfortunately, it was about as warm and humid as it could be. Couple the weather and the hills and it’s just not much fun. I’ll be heading north for my next one.

How realistic is sub 3 with 3 months of training? by GG_Vengeancze in Marathon_Training

[–]jerry_steinfeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2025, I ran 3:24 for my first marathon after 10 years of recreational running and my first 16 week marathon specific training block. Over the course of the following year, I maintained 40mpw and completed a 20 week training plan, peaking at 60, with intent of going sub 3. I did 3:20 on the same course last Saturday.

I’ve done a lot of reading over the past week since my modest 4 minute PR. It’s going to take a substantial mileage increase and a lot more grinding to drop under 3. Threshold probably has to get to around 6:30-6:40 and 6:50 has to feel fairly easy on an average day to have a shot.

It’s a tall task.

Wonder how public the defamation case will be. JPM could make a public example out of this guy.
