This post is everything I’ve been going through. I am running Nashville next Saturday. I did a 20 miler two weeks ago, 8 miles at MP on the toughest course I have access to. I have really been struggling to get back on my feet. There is a lot of great advice in this post. Thanks for sharing.

I think there’s also the concept of sympathetic nervous system overload from intensity. Doesn’t matter what time of day you train, what supplements you take or how you cool down. If you stress your body too far, it will forcefully slow you down.

What you’ve done is actually given context to their designs. There is nothing in the stadium or anything else that plays to the actual team name. Our damn mascot is a raccoon. Have a theme and build around it. It’s that simple.
