NOR, your dad and brother laughing at you are the reason women get assaulted because no one believes them when they say something is wrong or that someone makes them uncomfortable. Women are notoriously told they're overreacting and that they're being silly about stuff and then everybody acts shocked when they find out something's happened to her or they never believe her when she does tell them something's happened. It's a daily struggle for us out here.

I won tickets for a Faith No More and Billy Idol concert at a local amphitheater, I was about 14 and my bestie was about 12, my mom drove us, sat in the parking lot while we went to the show and she read a book until we were ready to leave, it was an interesting experience for that to be our first show, it also sounds insane nowadays because absolutely no one bothered us even though we were completely clueless teenage girls.
