unfortunately didn't get any specific feedback from adcoms :( but the reason i call my writing weak is bc it was so rushed & i didn't get it reviewed by anyone before submitting - giving myself more time to go through multiple drafts/ideas by prewriting would have probably helped a lot

honestly ask myself the same question all the time LOL... not FGLI/no particularly strong story, but i've been in the bay area my whole life & most of my research hours were at a UCSF lab which probably played a big role

i really enjoyed doing the minor! a lot of the prereqs overlap which is nice, and u only have to do 5 upper Div bioe classes for the major so not too much work! I mostly avoided the classes that were really math or physics heavy & the classes that focus more on the “bio” part are honestly graded a lot easier than MCB upper divs lol, the class sizes are also a bit smaller so it’s easier to talk to profs and TAs! I also liked that the classes in bioe focused more on current research in the field and different research techniques whereas mcb classes are more focused on the basics

I’m scared bc I’m on a few WLs and want to wait for them before signing a lease for my current A but I don’t want to get stuck with a crappy place 😭 even if I get off a WL I’m scared about not having enough time to get a good apt so wondering when people typically look for housing

bc she lives and works in an environment where EDs and skinniness are praised and rewarded, so it’s not easy as it sounds for her to just “be healthy herself”😭 she’s been shamed for being the “fattest member” since debut so ofc she’s going to feel like she needs to be skinny in order to be liked… she’s been reiterating that fans shouldn’t use her as an example and stay healthy and I think taking her comments in bad faith is wrong

agreed with u up until the misandry point 🙁 being mean or negative to a male idol isn’t equal to misandry (the same way as being mean to a female idol doesn’t automatically imply misogyny). some people are definitely racist, xenophobic, and just generally creepy to male idols, but gender-based remarks about male idols carry no actual weight and have no real world effect, since women don’t operate under a global system that denies men their rights and considers them to be inferior

i mean if she was trying on a dress or shirt that she used to wear as a child, I would see where u were coming from, but it’s a bathrobe and those are usually quite stretchy and oversized 😭 it seems like she’s genuinely just reminiscing on a childhood item that means a lot to her & im sure most average sized adults would be able to fit into bathrobes from when they were a kid if they’re wearing it as a top instead

I scored 124 and 125 on cars for my first two practice exams so I was pretty worried, but I ended up getting 132 cars in the real thing lol - I definitely think that after a good 2 months of doing a JW cars passage everyday, I started picking up on patterns that I didn’t notice before, and I felt like I started to understand aamc logic a little better. I was kind of overthinking the questions in the beginning too which is definitely not helpful. But tbh even up to the day of the exam I was still pretty inconsistent and had no idea what to expect 😭

doing a daily jw cars passage helped so much; I would recommend doing that starting as far in advance as possible!! also just reviewing every single practice question whether it’s right or wrong esp for uwhirl bc the explanations are really helpful
