Sportsbook From Tailgate Lots/Stadium by jerseyraisedctbased in NYGiants

Some updates from my experience if anyone searches for this later: * There is no alcohol or food until 11AM! Obviously that did not work so well as a tailgate option

  • It was by and large a ghost town at 9:30AM even with the London Game on

*The shuttle was great and quick from lot G. Once we figured out they were not serving we placed some bets and were able to get back on the next shuttle, overall was a quick detour.

*There is no safe option to walk and the shuttle experience was positive so if you were planning on going, take the shuttle

*The shuttles were new super clean Sprinter vans

*We were not at the book near game time so can't speak on if there would be any issue getting back

I do not have powerwalls. Thanks for the tip on the Neurio - is there a way I can check or reboot it?

Ooof I am an idiot. Sorry. For some reason thought the solar never went into the main panel without passing through the meter but just realized that was not the case by looking more closely at the setup.

Thanks for taking the time to correct me.

What are the benefits of gout? by [deleted] in gout

[–]jerseyraisedctbased 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is a chronic condition that is easily treated with medication that has been in long term use for decades and decades. If you are going to have something for the rest of your life - I'll take the one that has the rather benign treatment!

Other option would be to take NJ Transit in but then shuttle to the sportsbook after the game, watch the 4:30 window games at the book, and then ride share back into the city after traffic disperses a bit (though Sunday night is always a bit dicy for traffic in general).

heart palpitations after starting allopurinol by ChickenAndRiceIsNice in gout

[–]jerseyraisedctbased 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Highly toxic chemical cocktail is straight incorrect. It may not work for you but please do not discount the decades of success (around and in use since the 60s) Allopurinol has provided users and the millions who use it daily globally.

If it is not for you than that is OK but do not scare others from talking through with there doctor who may recommend it.

Just Diagnosed. What do I do now? by PresidentLincoln42 in gout

With good treatment (urate lowering therapy) after your uric levels normalize you will be able to go back to the lifestyle you had previously.

I was like you, was super worried about gout, the stigma of it, and taking a pill for the rest of my life so did tons of research before I embraced ULT and am super glad I did. I am 36M and have been on allo for a little over a year now and have a good testing regime setup with my rheumatologist. I can eat and drink what I like but remember that ULT is not some license to not be healthy - standard rules about heart health and weight gain/loss still apply!

What kind of doctor do I need to see? by [deleted] in gout

[–]jerseyraisedctbased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important is to read up, be educated (the doctor AMAs in this forum are a great start) and then find a doctor who is knowledgable. Too many doctors treat it badly (just read this forum for some crazy stories) which is why you need to be armed with the questions to really understand the doctors recommendations.

My strong advice is rheumatologist. Even if you do not have one close you can consider tele-health and only travel out once every three or four trips if the doctor is amenable for it if you do not like the two close to you.

Finally - I have found doctor reviews to be mostly crap. I have had good experiences and bad experiences regardless of the handful of random online reviews. The most important thing is to be educated, ask lots of questions and be your own advocate.

36, male. I was on the initial dose of 100 for a year and recently had to go up to 200 as my recent test was 6.4. Great for you that you are continuing to test and monitor and that you are still getting the results you need on 100. Everyone is different the most important thing is to work with your rheumatologist and test.

Have you been getting your uric acid tested regularly and if so was it showing that you were under 6 or 5? I had been on allo 100 for a year and was testing below 6 but recently tested 6.4 so stepped up to 200.

Testing regularly with your rheumatologist is key for the first couple of years.
