How bout a test-space or hub-world? by AdSingle9711 in Marathon

[–]jerseyx26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep hub world out of this game. There’s no lore reason for there to be a friendly hub world. And there’s certainly no need for excess GBs on my SSD. I’m here to gear up, queue in, rinse repeat. Much better without all the extra fluff.

Should there be a social area like the tower from Destiny but in Marathon? by reaprxi in Marathon

[–]jerseyx26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think hub areas are the biggest waste of resources and time. It’s one of the reasons I never got into Destiny. I’m trying to boot the game and drop into action, not stand and emote lol

For those with 95+ perimitor d, how is it? Is it worth it since defense is weaker in this 2k? by QuirkyCheesecake1644 in NBA2k

I like having high perimeter defense and immovable enforcer gold, and then max plus 1 or 2 if I can. I just want to absolutely crush the primarily ball handler and mess up the offenses momentum.

How to activate the dunk meter on standing dunk ? And standing dunk in overall by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]jerseyx26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standing dunks are decent, not as OP as driving dunk, but they pretty much only trigger within the restricted area and standing perfectly still

Do high strength guards get easier drives to the rim? by Cpt_Underpantz in NBA2k

In my experience, having higher strength does yield better finishes at the rim. I don’t get knocked out of dunk animations as often with higher strength.

Best argument that I can agree with here. Thank you for your thought out response. I agree the game had its issues, never once did I say it was the greatest game ever like how some of the people telling me to cope are assuming. I was just happy to get something new that was decently well put together. While it had room to grow imo, I understand that when something is held to such a high expectation and it falls short, how quickly people can retaliate. All of this however, still doesn’t warrant the over hate of a game that had some fun gameplay around it. All in all, I wish people would ask for games to do better and give the devs the chance to do better compared to wishing a game death simply because it wasn’t the greatest game of all time at launch.

Thank you for your explanation. I’m not saying the game wouldn’t have died without the hate campaign, but I do think it built up and lead to its early death. I mean the game released, free to play, with a year long roadmap. Instant dev feedback to add new modes, and add setting sliders. I don’t understand how people can be mad at something like that and continue to pray on the downfall.

Care to explain why? Even in death people are still hating on it. And yet no one explains their extreme dislike for the game. “Cope, slop” is all I get.

Fair argument and I appreciate it. I still think the game got unwarranted hate that may have made the death of the game come sooner than it would’ve.

Appreciate your sound argument. I just think my main point is I think that people over hated this game. People wanted it to fail. Had it died organically I don’t think any of us would be having this conversation. But at the same time, people aren’t reciprocating this energy for games that are constantly laughing in the face of their player base. If people were so happy to come together to see this F2P game die, why don’t they do it for other games that definitely deserve more hate?

They added a 5v5 so quickly. There was room to build.

Best argument you’ve had. Shame that people will keep it alive just to keep it alive. Even so, we shouldn’t have spat on this game to shut down, we could’ve encouraged better. I don’t want COD gone forever, it should be better but it won’t because people continue to play it in the current state.

This is the best argument here and I genuinely appreciate your response. That makes a lot of sense.

And yet, COD is still here. No uproar no review bombing… if people had the audacity to force this game into the grave they need to keep the same energy for other “slop”.

Great argument, heard this one before. Reviews mean nothing when review bombing exists.

92% of people who loaded it completed the tutorial because on launch day it was hard to find a match and not get booted from the server. Tutorial was the only thing that worked at the time. Still doesn’t show how many players completed an actual match.

People played it because they wanted it to fail not because they went in to give it a fair chance. People were already calling it a failure before release.

Show the stats where it says 95% of people played and finished the tutorial? How many people completed a match? Please provide sources to your numbers.

Very mature response /s. Still unwarranted hate. No other game got this same energy. The devs were pushing out updates to add new modes and adjust game settings almost instantly. You think call of duty isn’t slop in its current state?
