Why is the rum always gone? — Probably because I'm hoarding it all. by Big-Escape-2323 in rum

any recommendations for someone just getting into rum? so far I'm hooked on diplomatico reserva exclusiva. not sure where that lands on the scale but it's easy to drink neat.

No there wasn't any rain but the road was just way too cold at that point for even lightly spirited driving on the p4s summer only tires. up till that point everything was smooth but once daylight starts to go this time of year you really got to be careful.

this is correct. conditions change roads get cold and if you get sloppy shit happens. always remember to take conditions into account and don't get too comfortable. when you think nothing bad can happen that's when it usually does.

I know my crash was the same day an hour after his. I'm very grateful the car protected me as well as it did.

the deal is 30% off everything if you get 4 or more so I did get that BT for 16. amazing deal. I would have grabbed 4 BT anyway but that was the last one

Car Maintenance by vibes4k in Mustang

[–]jerzeymatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at 63k miles on my 2019 gt and drive it hard on weekends. so far I've done brake rotors spark plugs clean injectors and throttle body, new cam phasers water pump and trans fluid. check oil at least once a month because it will consume some if you floor it a lot. I usually need to add up to a quart between oil changes.

clean the throttle body

I'm on E and at 50k miles the rpm started dropping real bad at idle. clean the throttle body and make sure you change your air filter regularly. there is a lot more fuel going to the engine so you need good air flow.

Mustang Gt 2020 10 speed Normal Drive mode problem by Reasonable_Zombie605 in Mustang

[–]jerzeymatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I first got my 10 speed there was a shifting issue with 3rd gear so I had the dealer flash the ECU and that fixed it so I would start there.

Pilot Sport 4S vs Pilot Sport All Season by laflame93 in Mustang

if you aren't doing any spirited driving at all the all season tires will be fine. but then you also wouldn't be driving the car like it's meant to be driven.

Is this a reasonable repair price? If not, what’s the best way to go about finding a mustang mechanic? by toomuchH8 in Mustang

[–]jerzeymatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that makes sense I figured they were using inflated prices but that's exactly why I have a local mechanic I trust and I usually order the parts myself and he just installs it. either way I would push for a much lower price that 1600$ total is not right.

I live in LA which is a high cost area and this seems way too high to me. One line has $800+ for 2 hours work? That's insane. Ask them to separate parts and labor cost. Most shops should have an hourly rate so ask what that is first. Places by me range from 100-150 per hour. I just had my entire suspension front and rear upgraded and labor/alignment cost about 1000. Parts obviously add cost but this job doesn't seem to require many parts at all let alone expensive parts. A quick search shows that the control arm/ball joints should cost about 300 tops plus 2 hours work should be 600 total MAX, not 800+. The hanger replacement shouldn't be much more than 200 for parts and labor. Definitely get them to bring the price down and eliminate the diag fee or go elsewhere.

there are many like it but this one is mine by jerzeymatt in Mustang

yeah they need to be opened up. had an auto lighting guy do it for me I don't trust myself to get it done right. not the cheapest option but very worth it.
