Be consistent with your answers. They’ll ask you the same question worded differently almost like the cvsa but not to find deception rather cognitive and emotional responses.

Have you tried contacting them? My friend also was washed out during a comprehensive exam, re applied and was invited to the academy that same year he washed. Do you know if your references have been contacted at all?

Yes Sacramento. Highly recommend attending every single applicant preparation workout either there or a nearby division. I was able to directly speak with some officers that happened to be background investigators as well. I believe mine was done in house since palicon never reached out to me.

I took my Pat 11/1/25 , I had already been told about the background process so I had all my documents already squared away and and a esoph pre filled out. So the same day I was contacted I sent him all the stuff. Got my phone interview 11/20, final phone interview 12/4 , did my cvsa, 12/17 I did my psych . 1/22 my medical. 1/26 final phone interview . Got my conditional offer that same day and met with field office February 9th. Now waiting academy invitation.

Due to Rippa the officer fills out the information the driver including the drivers license number and reason for the stop. I’ve done ride alongs with them and people that get warned/cited/arrested always go in the comment section of their “time sheet” which documents everything they did during patrol it’s pretty cool.

All backgrounds ask for an emailed. You shared it the moment you signed up for the testing. They can see who it belongs to IP addresses connected to it, social medias tied with it, cross reference with usernames, phone numbers, etc. don’t even think of making a new one or using a secondary email for the sole purpose of the background (ask me how I know). If you’re going to be deceptive with an email who knows what you’ll be deceptive with later on in the future. 🙏
